They can fix the problem and move on.” One of ENFO Solutions’ clients is a large ceramic manufacturing company in Thailand who has very detailed product information, product development logs, and international purchase orders. Clearly this is a very large and complex company. “They’re thrilled with the Enfo system. And they keep coming back for more, incorporating ENFO into more and more aspects of their business” say Michael. In fact, it was the ceramics company that helped bring Michael Hsu to Winston-Salem. While working for them and doing a lot of business with Encore (at that time called XPRES), Michael came to Winston-Salem to coordinate the project management systems. Michael loved the area, met and married Carol Fulton in November 2004, and their son James was born in January 2007. Michael Hsu is more than a techie software guy. His business management skills make him a quick study when he visits businesses on sales calls. “I really don’t like the sales part…until the people actually start telling me how their company works and the specific process problems they have. Then, I get excited. I begin to see how we can help them work more efficiently. That’s the fun part for me. Once a client is sold on the ENFO system, they are anxious to have their company start using it right away. We provide the system and the experience to help customers deploy their solutions quickly. With over a century of IT development and management experience, we usually get a system up in weeks, not months.” Today, there is a lot of buzz about “transparency” in business. Transparency can apply to business practices, processes, and results, all shared internally as well as with clients Michael Hsu’s home office in Winston-Salem is headquarters of ENFO SOLUTIONS, an international on-line process management company. Michael and 2 partners, one in California and one in Thailand, founded the company 3 years ago. They developed the initial software and now have clients worldwide. ENFO SOLUTIONS coordinates and accelerates all aspects of business processes, which can be complex, even for a small business. “Our own company is a perfect example” says Michael as he pulls up a web page on his mini MAC laptop. “See? Projects, status, updates. And here are the files and the additions my partner in California, made last night.” All three partners, in different parts of the world, know exactly what is happening with their clients and when it’s happening. “Today, it’s not the old closed door attitude.
