Raw 03 - November 2008 - (Page 7) BOLTON TRADE SHOW RAW are a valuable tool for any business to use. The government frown upon them as they are not taxable. Creating a reason for customers to visit your stand The stand itself was bright, colourful, and very welcoming and we feel it was the most striking stand there. The energy on the stand was very positive and warm. We created a prize draw where the winner would receive £25,000 in marketing and advertising with Mi and our associated web sites. Colour flyers were handed out all day and customers attended the stand to place their entries in our prize draw box, we received around 200 entries which also acted as sales leads. Rachel Elnaugh was signing copies of her latest book which also drew a high level of footfall to the site. The 42” plasma which we placed at the front of the stand enabled potential customers to see from a distance who and what we are. We also invited Chris Wright from Blackwood Productions (our SEO Guru) to attend the stand and talk about SEO to our customers and this gave us a second product/service to offer our clients By having a team of 5 well dressed, fully focused and passionate people on the stand who knew the business inside out was a major tool which enabled us to close deals on the day. As a whole the stand was busy all day, customers felt at ease and unpressurised to come on to the stand and of course were relaxed, and when customers feel relaxed, mutually beneficial two way communication commences. After Show Sales Follow up Every lead you gain at a show is a closing opportunity and must be treated as gold. Every lead is raw data and that data can be converted immediately or within 30, 60 or 90 days post show. Data is key and the more that you have the greater your chances of producing a decent ROI as a result of exhibiting. The end Result We had a successful show day with increased sales both at Million Impossible HQ and sales made on the day at the event. Our £25k prize draw incentive Million Impossible HQ celebrates as the show opens increased traffic and interest in our product. The team were inspired by how our customers reacted to our product and it gave us a renewed Inspiration that what we are doing is helping Entrepreneurs grow their businesses. It is not easy to grow a business in today’s climate and with the words “credit crunch” and “financial downturn” on everyone’s minds, its time to open up your mind and look at other ways to make something possible rather than Impossible. I would like to extend my thanks to the following people who helped make it all possible Kelly Parker @ 39zero – Art and Design for amazing graphics Rachel Elnaugh – Rachel Elnaugh Ltd For providing the stand space Carl Rowe and Paul Adams – Diplays2go for the wonderful stand Gary Lovatt – Moorish Idol for plasmas, lighting and desks The Million Impossible team bonded together, we felt proud about what we are doing and it gave us the fuel that we needed to keep fighting for what we believe will become the UK’s leading Honest Entrepreneur Network.
