Harmonic UHD
AsiaSat Channel
HKG / USA: Harmonic and AsiaSat
have announced a partnership
to launch a new UHD channel
4K-SAT2/HVN.
Launching on March 1, the channel
will have 4K video content from
Harmonic's broad video library,
as well as content from the NASA
TV UHD channel, in 2160p60 with
HEVC Main 10 profile, utilising an
end-to-end UHD video processing
system from Harmonic.
It will be AsiaSat's second free-toair UHD channel on AsiaSat 4 at 122
degrees East.

8 film, Kodak has launched an
initiative aimed at putting Super
8 cameras into the hands of a new
generation of filmmakers.
At CES, the Kodak Super 8 Revival
Initiative saw a new Kodak Super 8
camera prototype on display.
Combining the classic features of a
Super 8 with digital functionality,
the initiative's roadmap includes
a range of cameras, film
development services, and postproduction tools.
