The HDL-57 is a compact highdefinition camera designed for use on
remotely controlled pan/tilt heads in
applications such as parliamentary
television or robotic studios. It can
also be deployed wherever a highgrade fixed-position compact camera
is required for intercutting with the
output from full-size studio cameras.
Camera head and controller are
housed in a single robust rectangular
unit measuring 90 x 103 x 180 mm
(width x depth x height) and weighing
1.5 kg. The HDL-57 can be operated
remotely or via its rear control panel.
L-S-B Broadcast Technologies
'theWall' is a software tool for setting
up and controlling monitor walls,
routing signals, changing monitor
layouts or saving and loading user
presets. The product consists of a
software that talks directly to the
multiviewers and a GUI for mobile
control. The GUI runs on HTML5 and is
platform independent.
Lawo will promote its 'V__Pro8'
8-channel digital video processor
which is intended to provide the glue
features usually needed in a broadcast
production system. It is a single tool
connecting different video formats
as well as between audio and video
equipment. Capabilities include format

conversion, colour correction, audio
embedding and de-embedding.
A high-density MADI audio
connection provides video-toaudio bridging within studio
infrastructure. The
V__pro8 has an 8
x 8 video matrix
and 384 x 384
audio matrix. The
control interface is
based
on
HTML5.
Eight 3G SDI de-embedders and a
corresponding number of embedders
are looped into the eight video signals.
PlayBoxTechnology with exhibit
the latest upgrades to its established
PlayBox product range of broadcast
channel branding and playout
equipment: AirBox Neo, TitleBox Neo,
CaptureBox Neo and SafeBox Neo. The
upgrades include UHD compatibility,
a high-efficiency user interface
plus a wide range of new feature
enhancements.
Also being promoted will be the
CloudAir Universal Playout and
Streaming Platform which offers a
gateway through which new television
channels can be established, without
the usual preliminary investment
in playout infrastructure. CloudAir
is a unified workflow environment
which can be tailored to provide the
capabilities customers require for their
current activities, including ingest,
source transcoding, quality control,
media asset management, production,
post-production,
subtitling,
scheduling, playout and transmission.
CloudAir can be operated in fully
automated mode with the option of
making schedule alterations or live
inserts at any time in response to latebreaking news.
Solid State Logic will promote
the Sigma delta upgrade to its
Sigma remote controlled analogue
summing system. This introduces
three new features that facilitate full

simultaneous tri-directional control
of the Sigma analogue hardware.
A new cross-platform (iOS, Mac or
PC) remote control app expands
on the feature set of Sigma's V1
browser with the addition of direct
level and pan control, making the
Sigma SuperAnalogue mix engine
and monitor switcher fully remote
controllable via software running on
a range of networked devices. New
direct control via MCU using MIDI
over Ethernet is added to enable
SSL's Nucleus controller and Sigma
to be used together as a standalone
rack mount line mixer with remote
hardware control, without the need
for a computer or remote control app
to be running. When all three control
systems are in use, changes on one are
reflected across all three interfaces.
Technocrane will show its new
Model
45
long-range
camera
crane. This is the same size as the
Technocrane 35 but has an extra
section which can be engaged or
disengaged in a matter of minutes.
When disengaged, the crane is 35 feet
at maximum length. With the extra
section engaged the maximum length
is 45 feet. The Technocrane 45 has 16
inches of travel on the column and can
be used on one-metre crane track.

SSL upgrades Sigma

application claimed to convert an
Apple iPhone into a live streaming
facility. The standard version is free
and enables unlimited live streaming
to YouTube from an iPhone. It allows
insertion of images, logos and graphics
from a user's photo library; social
chat and sharing; and the ability
to save two shots in a shot list. The
additional features of Wirecast Go can
be unlocked for a fee. These enable
live streaming to any RTMP (Real Time
Messaging Protocol) destination, as
well as private or unlisted broadcasts
on YouTube. Users can also switch
between unlimited numbers of shots,
and capture and replay highlights from
the live production with just a few taps
on the iPhone, which is great for sports
and other live events.
Teracue will promote Icue-Grid
which offers flexible positioning of
video displays in any resolution up
to 4K as a video wall. Embedded
bezel correction makes it possible
to use monitors with any frame size.
Each display has its own processor
and can be fed via IP. The combined
performance is managed by a Webbased controller.
