You do a lot of self-portraits – are you a narcissist? A lot of people assume I am obsessed with myself, but in many ways working on your own has a lot of advantages. There is for example no need to worry about bad communication between the model and the photographer. I suppose it is true I have a narcissist streak with some of my photography though. How do you find the other boys? Almost all of my models are people that were already in my life in some other way before I started taking photos of them, people I am drawn to. Lovers and friends. I think photos turn out nicer when the photographer is truly inspired by the model, and there is a higher level of intimacy as well. What qualities do you look for in models? Well some boys are just really photogenic and take the light well. Apart from that, it sort of touches back on what I said above. If I find a boy beautiful or interesting, that is what will motivate and inspire me to bring out my camera. And the boys you fall in love with? Ayyyy it is not easy to steal my heart. But it has got to be someone clever. Ever hurt someone by revealing a secret? ‘I slept with your ex-boyfriend’ was not a very popular one. Hot sex: what’s the secret? Relax! Have fun.
