The connectors from Suyin are suited to facing very tight space constraints inside portable devices or in stationary systems which have a special shape. The compact design is 32.4mm long, including the SMT solder tabs, and 16.4mm wide and just 2.35mm high. An integrated switch detects the card and four sidemounted SMT solder tabs anchor on the PCB. The enclosed connector has a service life of 5000 mating cycles. Operating temperature is -40 to +105°C, the maximum initial contact resistance (for the plug contact) is 40mΩ, the insulation resistance is 1000MΩ and the dielectric strength is up to 500V AC for 60s. The connector is configured for voltages of 50V DC at a maximum of 1A/ pin. SFP+ and SFP+ cable assemblies from Harting can support data-transmission speeds of up to 40Gbit/s. In addition to standard cable assemblies with cable sizes from AWG 24 to AWG 30, the company offers customised solutions including units with EEPROM programming. Secure strain relief is realised through over-moulding of the PCB, providing robust assemblies for use in IP20 environments such as cabinets and control rooms. The QSFP+ back shell is one of the shortest on the market, making the cable assembly suitable for space-limited applications. No additional assembly is required, saving time and money compared to the use of individual piece parts and their associated tooling, thus reducing field installation time. The connectors are suitable for broadband switches, hubs, routers, servers and telecomms applications. They are available in one single-port; 1x2, 1x4, 1x6 or 1x8 multi-ports; and 2x1, 2x2, 2x3, 2x4, 2x6 or 2x8 stacked multi-ports versions with shielding for LED selection. The connectors support category 3 wiring for the transmission of 16Mbit/s signal in networking and telecomms equipment. They meet GS-12-0990 and GS-12-0947 standards, and UL94V-0 specifications. The connectors are RoHS-compliant and employ a shielded shell for EMI protections. They operate between -40 and 85ºC, and are available in many plating options including G F, 15 and 30µinch gold plating. A line of 26.5GHz hand formable coaxial cable assemblies from Crystek has been added to the company’s low-loss RF coaxial cables. Designed to operate from DC to 26.5 GHz, the handformable CCSMA26.5-MM-086 cable assemblies are suitable for jumpers, instrumentation, and high-frequency interconnects. The 50Ω cables provide an attenuation value of 1.40dB/m at 26.5GHz, and offer shielding effectiveness of greater than 100dB with an operating temperature range of -40 to +85ºC. Electrically matched pairs are also available. The cables have an outside cable diameter of 0.086inch and offer a minimum bend radius of 0.125inch (single bend) and 0.99inch (multiple bend). Available from stock in lengths from 3 to 12inches (custom sizing is available) each cable is constructed of a silver-plated copper wire centre conductor, tin-soaked copper outer braid, and PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dielectric.
