PreGel Unveils Frozen Desserts

Credit Managers Feel the Pinch
Credit professionals call the economy their biggest concern for the coming year, according to a survey by the National Association of Credit Management. For the third year, when asked “Looking forward to 2012, as a credit professional, what are your biggest concerns?” the largest percentage (26.7%) of nearly 1,000 participants chose “lingering uncertainties about the still-sluggish economic recovery.”

Plan Ahead for National Pie Day

PreGel AMERICA, the U.S. subsidiary of the largest specialty dessert ingredient manufacturer in the world, has introduced three new frozen desserts and beverages: Cafettone, Fruittone and Yogurttone. Utilizing the newest technology in the industry, the new frozen desserts and beverages require only the addition of water or milk. The sugar, flavor, stabilizers and emulsifiers are blended into the mixes to ensure consistency while maintaining the highest quality standards in taste and texture. For business owners, profit margins are high with low overhead costs. “Frozen desserts are not just for a nightcap anymore,” says Jillian Hillard, marketing manager at PreGel AMERICA. “Cafettone is a great way to start your day. We want business owners and consumers to feel good about embracing frozen desserts any time of the day.” PreGel’s desserts are quickly and easily produced in an affordable tabletop machine similar to a slush machine, but with a stronger freezing compressor to create a product similar to soft serve in texture and gelato in flavor. Fewer Need Employee Health Insurance

Throwing a pie in someone’s face is almost never a good thing, but throwing a pie baking — and pie tasting — party for friends or coworkers, or to raise money for a favorite charity, are all delicious ways to celebrate National Pie Day on Monday, Jan. 23. The National Center for Health Statistics at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has released data illustrating that the Affordable Care Act continues to significantly increase the number of young adults who have health insurance. This is good news for retail bakeries that employ a number of younger workers who no longer have to worry about health insurance from their place of employment. Because of the health care law, young adults can stay on their parents’ insurance plans through age 26 — a policy that took effect in September 2010.
