Niman Ranch introduces all-natural beef entrees Egypt bought 180,000 tonnes of wheat last week with Russia, Argentina and France sharing equally in the business. It was worth noting Russia seemed to be losing its “lock” on the Egyptian market. Indications were U.S. soft red winter wheat was offered at competitive levels in this tender. ALAMEDA, CA A CALIF. — Niman Ranch is introducing five fresh ready-to-eat beef entrees. The varieties include beef pot roast in pomodoro sauce, beef pot roast in Provencal sauce, beef tips in Provencal sauce, beef meatloaf with Asiago cheese and chipotle glaze, and beef meatloaf with bacon and apple BBQ glaze. “There is a gap in the ready-to-eat protein category, and we are the first all-natural, humanely and sustainably raised product available in the marketplace,” said Jeff Tripician, chief marketing and sales officer. “With Niman Ranch’s current success in the ready-to-eat category, we knew there was opportunity for a high-quality line of beef products. The overwhelming rate of acceptance by our current specialty retailers proves that this is the type of product that buyers have been looking for.” The products are fully-cooked, take only minutes to heat and are fresh and not frozen. The suggested retail price is $9.99. FBN Pamela’s Products launches Whenever Bars UKIAH, CALIF. — Pamela’s Products has launched a line of snack bars called Whenever Bars.
