Dr. Russell Flowers,
chairman and chief scientific officer of Silliker
Group Corp., was named
the 2010 recipient of the
Maurice Weber Laboratorian Award by the
Flowers
International Association for Food Protection. IAFP cited
his "outstanding contributions in the
laboratory and commitment to the
development of innovative and practical analytical approaches in support
of food safety" in honoring him with
the prestigious award. Dr. Flowers
was also named an IAFP Fellow at the
association's annual meeting,
Multivac Inc., a leading global supplier of packaging solutions for perishable
food products, announced that Vince
Knoch and Tom Rapuzzi have joined
the company as regional sales managers
within its food division. Multivac has
also announced new roles and responsibilities for three of its managers, all re-

porting to Bob Koch, director of sales.

Gregg Poffenbarger, sales manager,
Western division; and Bill Williams,
product manager, compact packaging

The U.S. Poultry & Egg Association presented a $5,000 check to the
Food Processing Suppliers Association's Meat Industry Supplier's
Alliance (MISA) Foundation Scholarship Fund during PROCESSEXPO
2010 in Chicago in July.

Finland-based Cimcorp Oy, a
leading supplier of automated material handling and picking solutions, has acquired RMT Robotics,
a Canada-based manufacturer and
integrator of innovative robotic material handling systems. The newly
formed group offers advanced order
fulfi llment solutions, robotic gantry technology and related software
and controls.
Arlene Kobos has been promoted to
vice president of sales for Symrise,
Holzminden, Germany. Kobos was formerly Symrise's national sales director.
Cantrell, a poultry processing equipment sales and service company based
in Gainesville, Ga., has promoted Mark Boswell to manager of parts
