INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
SNAC's member base grew in 2017 with the arrival
of more than 40 new members from 10 different
countries. New business members included I Love
Snacking, New York City; Deep River Snacks, Deep
River, CT; Uncle Rays, Detroit; Unique Pretzel,
Reading, PA; and Popcornopolis, Vernon, CA.
SNAC also welcomed a new depth of associate
members, including some of the most inventive
suppliers of packaging materials and equipment,
manufacturing software and systems, ingredients
and seasonings, logistics and transportation services, and much more.
A continued focus on delivering value to members through the three pillars of education, advocacy and networking saw increased member
engagement in 2017. Fifty rising snack stars grad-

uated the third annual Emerging Leaders Program
at Georgetown University. The program gave attendees the opportunity to grow professionally from
expertise offered by some of the premier business
professors in the world.
In 2018, SNAC will develop the industry's future
leaders with a new Leadership Track. Entrants into
the track will begin by successfully completing the
highly acclaimed ELP. They will then move forward
with ELP 2.0, a newly designed seminar that will
elevate high-potential individuals to the next level
through an advanced Georgetown curriculum.
ELP 2.0 will accelerate professional development
through sessions on fostering collaboration to
innovate, strategic communication and personal
branding, managing relationships, and inspiring
teams to greatness.

ENGAGING WITH CONSUMERS
As consumers adopt new snacking habits, snack
companies' ability to speak to new snackers has
become paramount. SNAC delivered on this need
through an Executive Leadership Forum (ELF) last
fall that delivered deep insights on millennial and
Gen-Z lifestyles and how the food industry should
