International is redesigning existing initiatives and
bringing forward new ones.
One you will notice right away is this magazine.
For more than 10 years, SNAC has worked with
Sosland Publishing Company to issue a quarterly
magazine that contained a mixture of member and
association news along with industry data. Effective
with this issue, we are moving to a new business
model where we'll be issuing just two print editions
of SNAC World. With a fresh new look and a focus on two signature offerings - SNAXPO Official
Show Guide and State of the Industry - we are
committed to making this magazine a valued resource that readers will reference over time.
Additionally, we are working with Sosland to develop a multi-pronged initiative that will cast a spotlight
on innovative new processing equipment, flavors and
packaging. SNAXPO Innovations will be a value-add
for attendees who will be able to zoom in on what's
new since the 2016 SNAXPO equipment show.
In education, SNAC is unveiling two new programs. The first is the Leadership Track for the
150 graduates of the Georgetown University

Emerging Leaders Program over the past three
years. The cornerstone is a new offering "Emerging
Leaders 2.0" led by the business school faculty
at Georgetown, June 27-29. Participation will be
strictly limited and offered only to those who successfully completed the first program. The curriculum builds on the coursework with a special focus
on ethics, establishing one's personal brand and
strategic communications.
Other elements of the Leadership Track include
special networking events at SNAXPO18, the
Legislative Summit and a SNAC-facilitated social
media networking platform.
The second is a reinvigorated technical education and assistance program. Following a series of
focused interviews with senior executives responsible for operations, quality and compliance, SNAC
intends to offer a full complement of webinars and
seminars on priority concerns from product claims
to nutrition to sanitation. Watch your weekly SNAC

programs are scheduled.
As the Greek philosopher Herclitus said, "The
only thing that is constant is change." As an
organization, SNAC International welcomes the
opportunity to constantly change to serve its
members' needs.
