Property Development Centers (PDC), the wholly owned real estate development subsidiary of Safeway, hosted a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony Jan. 30 to kick off the construction of the We Puunene Shopping Center on Maui. Target, the first on Maui, will be the center's anchor tenant with about 140,000 square feet. Puunene Shopping Center will feature over 275,000 square feet of retail space with a wide array of local and national retailers and service providers.
