Page 27 • Wood just might be our best “green” friend after all, and the lumber and wood industry is predicting a steady build-up for the construction business through 2013 toward a knockout year in 2014. Think of wood as the ultimate green building material because, as writer Priscilla Pérez Billig notes in her article, it is the only naturally renewable construction resource that is environmentally friendly.
