Belt Collins Hawaii, an international planning, design and consulting firm, received an Award of Honor in the Professional Gardens category for its work on the Shriners Hospital for Children - Honolulu. The firm also received Awards of Appreciation in the same category for The Kahala Hotel & Resort - Entry Drive and Porte-Cochere Improvements project and for the landscape design of a LEED-platinum single-family private residence in Lanikai. For the sustainable single-family private residence in Lanikai project, the design concept was to create a home that was easy to live in and maintain, contributed responsibly to the island ecosystem, and provided the opportunity to age-in-place.
