JUST GOT TO PADDLE There is something about paddling that gets into your blood and you just got to paddle. Hawaii born Billy Loa has had a paddle in his hands since he was 15 years old. "Being on the water and paddling is like going to church and spending time with God," says Loa. When he first moved to California, his wife knew he had to paddle, so she told him there is a paddle club...just around the corner... from their house in Redondo Beach. So with paddle in hand, Loa headed out the door on foot in search of the club. After he paddled, he was excited to tell his wife about his new found club. When she asked if he found the Outrigger Canoe Club in Redondo Beach, Loa said, "Yes I did, I walked fourmiles - just around the corner!" When you got to paddle, walking four-miles to do it is no big deal. Loa loves paddling so much he has transferred his skills to stand up paddling and started Aloha SUP Club Hawaii where he is offering stand up paddle rentals on Oahu.
