Efficient Lighting, displays and Renewable Energy OLED and Solar roadmaps and Trends As the business community recognizes the importance of energy conservation, green thinking and low carbon footprints, the optoelectronics industry will provide many of the solutions that will enable the Green Revolution. From tremendously efficient solid-state lighting, effluent-free laser processing, new low energy display technologies and photovoltaic energy generation, the industry provides solutions that enable greater efficiency, smaller footprints and economic growth. In this series of workshops, senior industry executives and researchers examine some of these technologies, explore the technical and business issues, and illuminate the roadmap for several technologies. Solid-State Lighting Using OLEDs This session provides an overview of organic LED technology for lighting and business growth for OLED lighting. Low-Power Displays Using OLEDs Speakers in this session will discuss organic LEDs for low-power displays and organic solar cells. Solar Energy for grid-Tied Applications This session addresses inorganic solar cell technology and economics and new solar technologies for grid parity. High-Power Semiconductor Lasers This session presents some of the latest advances in the research and product development on the leading edge of high-power diode laser development. Solar Cells In this session, speakers present an overview of current processing steps for thin films as well as crystalline silicon–based solar cell production. Speakers will also identify upcoming process steps for the next generation of solar cells. Lasers in Manufacturing A number of speakers from different industries and backgrounds will give in-depth presentations of established manufacturing processes, as well as their perspective on future applications and the remaining challenges. Topics cover manufacturing applications of CW as well as pulsed lasers of different technologies, wavelengths and material processes. Lasers and LEDs in Displays This session covers recent developments in low-power green lasers for mobile projection and micro-projectors, linear light modulator arrays for laser projection display systems, and RGB laser sources for display applications. 22 regIS ter t oDay AT WWW.CLEOCONFErENCE.Org http://www.phastconference.org http://www.cleoconference.org
