Verizon - Your Guide - Winter 2008 - (Page 46) Important Information from using or allowed to use certain services. Spending limits and allowances established through Usage Controls do not apply to Premium Text Messaging Programs and other content products and services. All fees and charges incurred will be billed in accordance with your Plan. If you have Mobile IM 3.0 or higher, your instant messages will not be restricted by Usage Controls. Instead, you will be able to continue to send and receive instant messages even after any messaging allowance is reached, and as such, instant messages will be charged as text messages according to your Plan or Messaging Bundle, as applicable. Push to Talk calls may only be made with other Verizon Wireless Push to Talk subscribers and only from the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area. The Push to Talk feature can be added to plans with a monthly access fee of $3499 or higher (or to Family SharePlan secondary lines). For optimal Push to Talk performance, all callers on a Push to Talk session must have an EV-DO Rev. A-capable device and be receiving EV-DO service. A Push to Talk call is terminated by or will automatically pressing time out after ten (10) seconds of inactivity. While you are on a Push to Talk call, voice calls received will go directly to Voice Mail. When you are on a voice call, you cannot receive a Push to Talk call. You cannot prevent others who have your wireless phone number from entering you into their Push to Talk contact list. Only one person can speak at a time during Push to Talk calls. When using your phone keypad to make a Push to Talk call, you must enter the tendigit phone number of the called party. Presence information may not be available for all Push to Talk contacts. The timeliness of presence information may be impacted by the network registration status of a Push to Talk contact. Your Push to Talk service cannot be used for any applications that tether your phone to computers or other devices for any purpose. If you add the Push to Talk feature, coverage for your data services will be limited to the National Enhanced Services Rate and Coverage Area. Service is available for legally registered light passenger vehicles (e.g., sedans, coupes, motorcycles, convertibles, SUVs, light-duty pickups, etc.). Included service is limited to four calls per year for single lines, ten calls per year on Family SharePlan. Roadside Assistance is provided by GE Motor Club, an independent company contracted to provide roadside assistance to Verizon Wireless customers. Service is effective two days after the feature is added. Making international calls to most destinations requires international dialing capability (I-Dial) on your account. You can make calls to and roam in some North American destinations without I-Dial; see verizonwireless. com/international for details. I-Dial requires a minimum payment history; a contract term and a security deposit may be required. Failure to maintain these requirements may result in I-Dial suspension without notice. You can remove I-Dial at any time by calling Customer Service. Cruise Ship roaming rates apply only to calls made and received when traveling in international waters on the cruise lines and ships currently published on verizonwireless.com/international. Calls made and received when in port or cruising in an area served by a foreign roaming carrier are billed at the applicable roaming rates for that country. Availability of calling features, including the ability to make and receive international calls, varies and may be restricted without notice. I-Dial required for CDMA roaming in many destinations. Roaming in South Korea requires a manual update to your device’s software. Rates, terms and conditions apply only when roaming on participating networks in published destinations. Service may be available in additional destinations, but rates and service availability (including return calls from emergency services personnel) may be restricted. When roaming near destination borders, calls may be carried by a cell site located in a neighboring destination and billed at that destination’s rates.
