Southwest Florida offers a unique mix of upscale urban meeting
venues and hotels, combined with a wealth of group experiences
deeply immersed in nature. During the last year, there's been a
significant amount of renovation work to improve both.
For example, the Conservancy of Southwest Florida
recently reopened after completing a major renovation,
anchored by a new state-of-the-art, 21-acre Nature Center.
The Conservancy preserves and protects a huge swath of land
and native species. Eco-conscious planners can organize many
different types of tours and educational sessions, ranging from
photography workshops to animal rehabilitation lectures.
One of the most striking offsite location venues in the region
is NGALA. The private wildlife preserve is a luxurious tented
facility where live African animals, fine food and music create
an unforgettable group experience. Naples Zoo also hosts
corporate functions. Organize a formal dinner event in Rain
Forest Grove, or a ride aboard pontoon boats through the zoo's
Primate Expedition Cruise. New last year, group attendees can
hand-feed giraffes.
Also check out Naples Botanical Garden with flora from
Brazil, the Caribbean, Asia and Florida. The newly remodeled
4,000-sf Windstar Garden Room hosts 125 pax. Another creative
event idea, Naples Marina & Excursions, offers a Gilligan's
Island-themed beach party.
On the hotel side, The Ritz-Carlton, Naples closed
last summer for the first time in 28 years to complete a full
renovation. Refurbishments include a complete overhaul of all
450 rooms, three dining outlets and meeting space.

completed a $225 million dollar renovation. Overlooking the Gulf
of Mexico, the newly redesigned Presidential Suite is especially
in high demand as a hospitality suite. The 1,800-sf balcony and
1,800-sf indoor space together accommodate up to 75 people.
