where attendees are tasked with making a massive re-creation of
their company's logo using delegates' bodies.
The recently opened Viceroy Palm Jumeirah Dubai, located
on the trunk of the iconic Palm Jumeirah, offers three fully equipped
meeting rooms on the resort's 13th floor with floor-to-ceiling glass
that overlooks the Burj al Arab and the Arabian Gulf. The ballroom
is located on the 14th floor of the hotel and is suspended between
the two hotel wings allowing for stunning views of Dubai Marina.
The resort's chefs design event menus using signature tastes and
dishes from the hotel restaurants, and the staff can arrange various
team building activities to suit any organization, such as theater
training for the workplace. Another area of interest to groups is
the boutique spa, which reflects the region's Turkish influences.
Alongside a spa cafe and pool are a Hamman and relaxation
lounge and four open-air treatment rooms where Jasper crystal
massages and aloe skin treatments regularly take place; there are
14 treatment rooms in all.

ON THE AGENDA
Venturing off-site opens up an abundance of additional corporate
team building opportunities. The indoor/outdoor urban living
concept City Walk Dubai offers shops, entertainment venues and
Hub Zero, the region's first immersive entertainment park featuring
thrill rides and attractions in partnership with top game developers.
Groups will see some familiar names like "Resident Evil," "Gears of
War" and "Battlefield" at the gaming center, which hosts groups.
Hubert Frach, divisional senior VP of commercial operations,
West Americas, Europe & Russian Federation at Emirates suggests
visiting Dubai's new theme park destination. "Among the latest
must-see places in the dynamic city are Dubai Parks and
Resorts, which features three distinct theme parks: Motiongate
Dubai, Bollywood Parks and LEGOLAND. Spread over 25 million-sf
and equivalent to 420 football fields, the parks have more than 100
rides and attractions." The Hollywood-inspired Motiongate Dubai
and Bollywood Parks work with groups of all sizes.
Attendees can catch a glimpse of old Dubai by taking a small,
motorized taxi, or abra, across Dubai Creek to visit the gold and
spice souks, or, by venturing on a desert escapade with Arabian
Adventures, which offers a "Sundowner Dune Dinner Safari" that
includes a falcon viewing, exhilarating dune drive in the Dubai Desert
Conservation Reserve, a sunset photo-op and an Arabic-style
buffet under the stars in a traditional Bedouin-style camp with the
opportunity for a brief camel ride. We recommend that attendees leave
their cell phones behind, but who could pass up capturing that singular
moment when the distant sun sets over the golden dunes.
