Prevue March-April 2018 - 54
Orlando is constantly adding new options for meeting attendees.
Universal's Volcano Bay™ water
theme park is now open in Orlando
Universal's Volcano Bay™ offers planners a
unique and totally immersive event space that
provides both relaxing and thrilling experiences
for attendees. Events will take place at this lush,
tropical oasis with the towering Krakatau volcano
streaming waterfalls during the day and fiery lava
effects at night. Groups can take advantage of
daytime picnics or enjoy a one-of-a-kind evening
events for up to 300 after park hours. In 2018,
Universal Studios will shift into high gear with the
opening of Fast & Furious - Supercharged™.
Universal's Volcano Bay™
SeaWorld Events are now bigger,
brighter and bolder than ever!
This year SeaWorld introduced Electric Ocean,
its new summer spectacular, to rave reviews.
Attractions Magazine called it "amazing." Others
called it "incredible, like nothing else in Orlando"
and "a must see." And now, groups can experience
it for themselves with private viewing space. Or,
consider a modified version for private events.
Along with other new attractions like Kraken
Unleashed (a virtual reality experience) and Infinity
Falls coming in 2018, SeaWorld is providing more
ways than ever to host "an event that matters." How
so? A portion of the proceeds from your private event
support animals in need around the world.
Disney Springs' Celebrity Chefs
Orlando's most popular dining and entertainment
complex, Disney Springs™ at Walt Disney World® Resort,
is far more than a slightly updated version of the former
Downtown Disney. Growing from about 75 locations to
over 150 unique outlets, Disney Springs' new waterfront
district is an unparalleled destination for attendee free
time. With a collection of new celebrity chef restaurants
like Morimoto Asia, Frontera Cocina by Rick Bayless
and Art Smith's Homecomin' Florida Kitchen, dining is
second-to-none in Orlando. New openings include Planet
Hollywood with food creations by Guy Fieri, the iconic
paddleboat restaurant Paddlefish serves up fresh seafood
and savory steaks, and coming soon the swanky 1920s-era
inspired Edison restaurant is sure to impress - all offering
unique experiences for groups and private events.
