The Edgewater delivers stunning views and stellar Pacific Northwest dining
With its warm and friendly design and hospitality, The Edgewater is the only hotel literally built on the
water in Seattle. The views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains from the lobby, restaurant and
lounge, and 123 of its 223 guest rooms and three suites are awe-inspiring. And meeting space views are
breathtaking as well-a nice perk for groups looking for inspiration.
The property also sports a cool rock 'n' roll pedigree as famous musicians have stayed at The
Edgewater since it was built in 1962 and first welcomed The Beatles. Since then, it has welcomed artists
such as Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, The Rolling Stones and Seattle's own Pearl Jam. Two of the hotel's
three suites, Pearl Jam and The Beatles, are being created and reimagined this spring with memorabilia
and a great sound system and library of their namesake's music.
The property has 10,000 sf of meeting space including floor-to-ceiling views of the water from the
Olympic Ballroom, which can host 220 attendees banquet-style. Sarah Kiepe, director of sales and
marketing, says "most of our meeting spaces have windows, which give off natural light, allowing meeting
attendees more energy."
The Six Seven Restaurant and lounge is also a wonderful venue for group cocktails and private
dinners, offering stellar views, a seasonal waterfront outdoor terrace, as well as local organic produce and
meat and seafood from the Pacific Northwest. We recommend the dungeness crab and shrimp cakes, and
an assortment of fresh oysters, scallops, prawns and king crab.
We loved the sense of place this hotel has to offer and your group will feel the warm and welcoming
energy of the property as soon as they enter the property, which is constantly being upgraded, according
to Keipe (the lobby area was recently redone.
