Rich Ferguson, Daimler Buses North America
Rich Ferguson is the president and CEO of Daimler Buses North America, a full-line supplier of transit buses, motorcoaches, and mini buses. He is responsible for the operations in the North American market. Prior to joining Daimler Buses North America, Mr. Ferguson served as the vice president of sales at Daimler Trucks North America where he was responsible for leading the sales efforts for the Freightliner and Western Star truck brands in the US and Canada. Prior to being named vice president of sales at Daimler Trucks, Mr. Ferguson was with Freightliner Market Development Corporation where he served as president and general manager of acquisitions and operations. He also held the position of chief financial officer for Orion, which later formed the now Daimler Buses North America. Mr. Ferguson earned a BS/BA in Management at the University of Missouri and an MBA at Washington University in St. Louis.

A Glance at Some of the People Shaping the Public Transportation Industry
Dave McLaughlin, American Seating
Dave McLaughlin has been part of the American Seating team for over 25 years. Dave serves as vice president and general sales manager for the transportation division, and has also held the positions of vice president of management information and president of the Transportation Products Group. Dave is also on American Seating’s Board of Directors. Dave’s career started at Eastman Kodak Company and subsequently he worked for Clarkson University, the State of New York, Grand Union Supermarkets and Fuqua Industries. A member of the American Public Transportation Association, Dave serves on the organization’s Legislative Committee, Procurement Task Force and Board of Governors. Dave holds dual bachelor’s degrees in business and sociology from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a master of science degree in accounting from Clarkson University and a master of arts degree in educational physiology from Magill University.

Dr. Barbara K. Gannon, Eno Transportation Foundation
Dr. Barbara K. Gannon, Executive Director of Eno’s Center for Transportation Leadership, delivers leadership training across the career span of transportation professionals. Barbara has developed leaders for transportation and technology companies—the common thread being to provide a climate for individual change, enhanced organizational functioning, and expanded industry knowledge. Barbara implemented the start-up of the Endless Mountains Transportation Authority and was operations manager at the Port Authority of Allegheny County. She also crafted the marketing strategy for Prime Computervision. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Barbara has held faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School and Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In addition to teaching, Barbara provides consultation to industry leaders and senior management teams and serves on the American Public Transportation Foundation Board of Directors.

Roger Perlstein, Rotary Lift
Roger Perlstein has served the vehicle lift industry for more than 30 years. Currently director of Rotary Lift’s Heavy Duty Division, Roger previously served as the company’s northeast regional manager. He also worked for other equipment manufacturers and as a lift distributor. Roger’s experience as a distributor helped him develop a unique insight into what matters most to customers. “It all boils down to the unique value Rotary brings to the customer,” he says. “We know that when we put our clients’ needs first, everything else follows naturally.” As a result of this philosophy, Roger has helped Rotary develop new products and improve existing lifts to further enhance reliability, sustainability, efficiency and overall total cost of ownership. Roger earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Northeastern University and an MBA in technology management from SUNY Institute of Technology. He lives in Madison, IN, with his wife and two children.

Angela Iannuzziello, P.Eng., GENIVAR
Angela Iannuzziello has more than 30 years’ experience in the transportation planning and engineering field. As the founder and President of ENTRA Consultants, Angela played a key role in helping shape transportation in North American communities, specifically in developing effective transportation planning solutions that are supportive of healthy communities and environmental objectives, and integrating transportation planning with land use planning and urban design to achieve sustainable development. Now at GENIVAR Consultants, Angela is leading a large group of transportation planning and engineering professionals providing transit systems with the full suite of engineering services, including, but not limited to: BRT/ LRT planning and design, architecture, facility design, environmental engineering, and operations planning. Angela’s dedication to the transportation field has earned her high praise among industry professionals, and she continues to push the boundaries of conventional planning and engineering practices to innovate for the next generation.

Daniel Raul Randon, Fras-le North America
Daniel Randon brings more than 15 years of experience within the Randon organization to his role as Fras-le S.A.’s chief executive officer. His international business experience and years spent studying the inner workings of the organization allow him to steer the company on its course of global growth. His professional career began in 1995 at the Randon Companies, in Brazil, where he worked in the areas of Quality Development and Design Engineering. In 2001, Daniel managed the trailer division of Randon Implementos S.A., in which he led a turnaround in an unprofitable business unit, increasing sales by an average of 30% per year. In 2006 Daniel moved into the position of Director of Finance, Human Resources, and Investor Relations of Fras-le S.A., also a Randon Company. Daniel has served as C.E.O. and Director of Investor Relations at Fras-le S.A. since 2007. His leadership as C.E.O. also extends to Fras-le North America, Inc., the organization’s North American subsidiary. Daniel strongly advocates teamwork as being the most successful key in any organization. Daniel holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Caxias do Sul in Brazil. In 2005, he earned his MBA in Finance and Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In his volunteer work, Daniel served as Advisor and Provider of the Brazilian Red Cross of Caxias do Sul from 1997 to 2006, where he also held the position of President of the Caxias do Sul branch of the Brazilian Red Cross from 2000 to 2003. He currently resides in Brazil.

Robert M. Joseph, Sure-Lok Inc.
Robert M. Joseph has served as president of SureLok Inc. since it was established as a separate company in 2000. Prior to that, it was a division of Kinedyne, Inc., the world’s leading provider of cargo control products for the transportation industry. Since assuming the leadership of Sure-Lok, he has worked to build the company into a leader in wheelchair and occupant restraint securements for transporting individuals with special needs. The administrative and manufacturing facility, based in Bethlehem, PA, markets its products globally. Robert began his career in 1986, joining Kinedyne as a sales representative. He subsequently served as regional sales manager and general manager of Kinedyne before being appointed vice president of sales for its then Sure-Lok division. A graduate of Westminster College (Pa.) where he majored in business administration, he is a member of the American Public Transportation Association, National Association for Pupil Transportation, National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association and the standards committees of the Society of Automotive Engineers and International Standards Organization.
