are expected to be veterans.

discussed outreach and engagement plans to take them into 2017.

Van Schaick emphasized that the most
important thing the group can have is
participation from younger and newer
railroad professionals. "This group doesn't

work if younger people aren't willing to

Both ASLRRA's Veterans Recruitment
and HR Committees are also engaged
with young professional development.
While some industries hire young workers
straight out of school, many of the newest
hires in the industry are military veterans,
