t's certainly true that relationships are everything! All truly
great relationships are mutually
empowering in healthy ways,
so you know you're in a great
relationship when you and the
other person enjoy increased
healthy power through your combined efforts and resultant synergy.
REDUCE DRAMA
The best way to reduce the drama
stemming from power struggles
within your practice is to build a
culture where a Win-Win mentality
becomes woven into the fabric of
the group's interpersonal relation-

ships. In such a world-class culture,
participants show consistently cooperative and unselfish dedication
to each other for the success of the
business and its mission, including
individual sacrifices as needed to
achieve such success.
FOSTER EFFECTIVE TEAMWORK
Effective teamwork is fostered by
leaders who inculcate the group to
embrace an abundance mentality
so that they behave in manners that
empower and support each other
interdependently. A relationship
model then emerges in which there
is room for everyone to share in the

resources and to become both individually and collectively successful.
The investment, therefore, is in
creating winners across the board,
rather than working purposefully to make others lose. How is
this accomplished?
CREATE WINNERS
1. Look inside. Staff need to be
instructed to pay most careful
attention to their own performance from an internal locus of
control, rather than spending
negative energy focusing on
what their co-workers are doing
with envy, fear, and distraction.
Making such a shift is empowering because an internal focus
upon one's available choices
(power) with accompanying
ownership for the subsequent
outcomes (responsibility) leads
any mature individual or group
