at the ILMA Annual Meeting

efore your Annual Meeting schedule fills up with
business meetings, make sure to leave some time for
ILMA sessions. We've beefed up the agenda for our
Oct. 15-17 meeting at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, and we
are really excited about the sessions we've planned. Make
sure to carefully review the agenda on our website and plan
your schedule so you can take advantage of some of the best
educational sessions we've ever put together.
Here's what you absolutely can't miss at the ILMA Annual
Meeting:
1. The Headshot Lounge

on the ILMA website? Like it or not, a lot of business

Lounge," where we will have an award-winning portrait
photographer on hand to take a flattering headshot, which

2. Market Conditions Don't Determine Growth. You Do!
ILMA's General Session keynote
speaker, Mark King, will share how
companies can grow in a flat
market. This is precisely what

leadership. From 2000 to present
day, golf has been a no-growth
market. Don't miss hearing how King quadrupled
TaylorMade's size during that time, from $300 million to

$1.2 billion, and learn how the company continues to show
solid growth.

3. The Politicalization of Energy
Election 2016: What's at Stake for
Refiners and Lubricant
Manufacturers
When we meet in Scottsdale,
Arizona, the fall elections will be
only a few weeks away. In addition
to the presidential race, the 435
members of the House of Representatives and 34 members
of the Senate will also be elected. What is at stake for the
petrochemical industry? Will Republicans maintain control
of the House and Senate, and how would a turnover affect
our industry?
We'll hear the perspective of Chet Thompson, president
and CEO of the American Fuel & Petrochemical
Manufacturers (AFPM), the trade association representing
over 400 companies that encompass virtually all U.S.
refining and petrochemical manufacturing capacity.
Thompson leads a staff that advocates for petroleum
refiners and petrochemical manufacturers before
Congress and the executive branch on a broad range of
public policy issues. AFPM, under his leadership, works
to emphasize the importance of petroleum refiners and
petrochemical manufacturers and their positive impact on
U.S. manufacturing, jobs growth, energy independence and
national security.
Thompson will discuss what's at stake for petrochemical
companies in the fall elections and how AFPM and ILMA
