Ford Named Chairs of STLE's
Cleveland and Chicago Sections
LANXESS Acquires Chemtura
LANXESS announced in September plans to acquire U.S.-based
Chemtura Corp. With the largest acquisition in its history,
LANXESS will be building on its own additives portfolio.
Based in Philadelphia, Chemtura has 20 sites in 11 countries and
approximately 2,500 employees worldwide. Approximately 45
percent of Chemtura's revenue is generated in North America.

Monica Ford
Ingevity's Shana McCabe, global business manager, lubricants
and metalworking fluid additives, has been elected to serve on
the Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers' (STLE)
Cleveland section board as the Educational chair. Monica
Ford, Ph.D., Ingevity's senior surface scientist, lubricants and
metalworking fluid additives, has been selected to serve on
the STLE's Chicago section board as the co-chair for the
Commercial Marketing Forum.
McCabe and Ford will hold these positions with these STLE
sections for the 2016-17 session. In this role, McCabe will be
organizing an education seminar, selecting the student to be
awarded the STLE Cleveland section scholarship and helping
plan various board meetings. Ford will assist in the organization
and execution of the annual Commercial Marketing Forum held
by the STLE Chicago section.
"Through the acquisition, we are further implementing our
strategy to become a more resilient and profitable chemical
company. We are significantly building on our competitive
positioning in medium-sized markets and increasing our
presence in North America. LANXESS is taking a next and major
step forward on its growth path," said Matthias Zachert, chairman
of the board of management of LANXESS AG.
Nynas Opens Depot in New Jersey
Nynas has announced it will extend its storage capacity and
distribution network for naphthenic specialty oils with a depot
in New Jersey. According to plans, deliveries from the depot will
start in the late fourth quarter this year.
Nynas already has a presence in the North American market,
with depots in Houston; Long Beach, California; and Chester,
South Carolina, in the U.S., plus Montreal in Canada. The
addition of the depot in New Jersey improves the delivery
opportunities in an area with a high demand.
"It also opens up the shipping channel for products we only
produce in Europe to a storage location where products have
the highest demand. As products will be supplied from Nynas'
European refineries, all products will be registered under
REACH," emphasized Edward Skelton, head of supply chain
Nynas naphthenics Americas.
