Chevron Oronite Co. LLC received
the first Fuels + Lubes Asia (F+L)
"Product Development of the Year"
award for its OLOA® 55516 passenger
car motor oil additive. Given at a ceremony on Thursday, March 9, during
F+L Week in Singapore, the "Product Development of the Year" award
recognizes innovation in the fuels and
lubricants industry, encompassing
significant improvements to products
and related processes rendering the
product more efficient and having
improved ecological use. "We are
thankful to several industry partners
for their support throughout the
development process," said Kaustav
Sinha, global project manager, Chevron Oronite. "We continue to work
with our customers to assist them with
their dexos1:2015 transition needs."

INFINEUM'S KEN KALISKY RETIRES
AS ITS AMERICAS SALES DIRECTOR
Infineum has announced the retirement of its Americas sales director,
Ken Kalisky, effective March 31,
2017. Kalisky had almost 37 years
of combined service experience with
Infineum and Exxon Chemical, during
which time he had progressed through
several executive positions, before
assuming his role as Americas sales
director in 2005.

According to Aldo Govi, executive vice
president, sales, "Ken has made significant contributions through his years of
dedicated service to Infineum and his
relentless focus on developing close working relationships with our customers." 
Infineum has confirmed that the
Americas sales director position will
be assumed by Fabian Devita, who is
currently Latin America sales manager.

LUBRIZOL BREAKS GROUND ON
POLYISOBUTYLENE UNIT
IN TEXAS
A groundbreaking ceremony was held at
The Lubrizol Corp.'s Deer Park, Texas,
facility on March 22 to announce that,
in conjunction with its previously announced technology license agreement
with Daelim Industrial, it has begun
construction of a new polyisobutylene
(PIB) unit. Construction of this unit
is consistent with Lubrizol continuing
to renew its additive infrastructure
as part of the company's previously
announced 10-year phased investment
plan designed to upgrade and enhance
Lubrizol's global capabilities. The new
unit is expected to be fully operational
in the first half of 2019 and will provide Lubrizol with capacity for highly
reactive polyisobutylene (HR PIB), a
key raw material for next-generation
dispersants and lubricants.
