She celebrated her 50th reunion in Avalon, N.J. and saw Nancy Crowther Denmark. As for me, I am back at work again full time after spending the last two years consulting. I do love it but prefer a three-day week! Page and I travel a lot and are planning a South American adventure once this work stuff ends! Best to all of you and hope to hear from you anytime! 1962 Linda “Lynn” MacDonough Morrow 240 Lions Hill Road, Apt. E401 State College, PA 16803-1881 (814) 237-5858 LMorrow@psu.edu Our condolences to the family of Jean Brekke Herzberg who died Aug. 21, 2007, in Minneapolis. Our sympathy also to Ann Louise Pursell Hammond whose mother Marjorie died Feb. 29, 2008. Nancy Burr Heckscher, our 50th reunion chair, is counting on each of us to give her suggestions to make our reunion the best ever. Especially if you have never come before, what will make you want to come in June 2012? E-mail her at BHeckscher@aol.com. Rusty Pabst Hougland also requests our input about our reunion class dinner. A few people told her they prefer a nice restaurant. Others adamantly told her that getting to a restaurant is too difficult and requested it be on campus. Send your opinion to Rusty at midgehougland@ earthlink.net. Teal West Hugo reports, “After all these years I am still blessed to be singing and teaching Suzuki piano In July I will record the Mahler 8th Symphony with the London Symphony Orchestra in St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is called ‘The Symphony of a Thousand,’ and I am lucky to be in the crowd!” Pam Roberts Welham had a memorable weekend with her daughter-in-law and granddaughter in NYC at the American Girl Place, “a treat for grandmothers as well as girls.” She will visit Lake Como and Venice, Italy, this fall before a small-ship cruise to the Dalmatian Coast. Jody Merritt Watson and Peter left the rigors of the winter of ’08 in Harpswell, Maine for a month trip south. On the way they visited Beth Davis Pauley and Ted in their beautiful home on the Delaware-Chesapeake Canal. After reaching Myrtle Beach, S.C., they had great fun reminiscing at a lunch visit with Phoebe Adams Marshall and Joan Terpak Plitt and husbands. Marvia Slade Perreault and Bill took a fantastic cruise to Antarctica in February. Their next stops include drum corps shows, decimating the crab population in Maryland and going to New York for Bill’s mother’s 100th birthday in October. Marvia Bobbi Arthur Pretzsch, Gail Wood Fortin, and Linda Martin McManus had schedules that were too hectic for the 4 to travel together this year, especially since Gail spent 3 weeks in Hawaii. Caroline Fischer Giles volunteers as a UNH marine docent and gets out on the rocky shore of New Hampshire to discover urchins, seastars, crabs, barnacles, periwinkles and all sort of algae with schoolage groups.
