Jessica Yocum Weaver earned a master’s degree in technology for educators from The Johns Hopkins Univ. in December 2006. Mandy Stevenson graduated from The George Washington Univ. Elliott School of International Affairs in May 2005 with a master’s degree in security policy studies. She was commissioned into the U.S. Air Force in March 2007 and was licensed as a special agent for the U.S. Air Force in September 2007. Our condolences to Roberta Mead whose father Stephen died March 20, 2008, in Frederick. Patricia Reagan welcomed daughter Liliana into the world March 14, 2007. She will begin a new job as a tenure track assistant professor of Spanish at Randolph Macon College in September 2008. Her new address is 8320 Raven Run Drive, Mechanicsville, VA 23111. Congratulations to Louise Shoemaker Stephens M.S. ’06 on her marriage to Matthew Stephens on May 5, 2007. Erin Cotter ’03, M.B.A. ’07 was her maid of honor and Kara Cotter was one of the bridesmaids. Louise received her master’s in curriculum and instruction with a concentration in special education from Hood and is now teaching high school in Frederick County. Our condolences to Patricia Llewellyn Fitzgibbon whose husband Kevin died July 22, 2005; and to the family of Olga Marrero who died June 16, 2007. Mary Breeding earned a doctoral degree in political science from the School of Public Affairs at American Rebecca Anthony earned a master’s degree in Victorian literature from the Univ. of Leeds, England, in July 2006, and married Christopher Foster July 7, 2007, in his hometown of North Baddesley, England. The couple is living in Woking, England, and Rebecca started working as an information assistant for King’s College in London in March 2008. Lauren Anderson married Dillon Cunningham Sept. 7, 2007, at Ceresville Mansion in Frederick. The couple bought a house last year and now reside in Laurel, Md. Lauren has a job as a natural resources biologist with the state’s Department of Natural Resources in Annapolis. Md. Emily Kapec M.S. ’05 and Monte welcomed daughter Anna Grace into the world Aug. 24, 2007. Amanda Hagen earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the Univ. of Maryland, Baltimore May 16, 2008. She writes “I miss my ’05ers! Stay in touch!” to be married. Jami Douglas and Chris Imhof married June 3, 2006, in Woodbine, Md. Jami graduated with her master’s degree in social work from Univ. of Maryland in May 2007 and is currently working at the Board of Child Care at the Strawbridge School in Baltimore. Heather Dunn will be getting married June 21, 2008 in Davidsonville, Md. to Joseph Cox. She will also be relocating to Harford County, Md. Audrey Grant has moved to Baltimore to pursue a master’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson Univ. She is happy to announce that her sister Hannah graduated from Hood in May. Janice Kurczewski Reyes was married in last summer and more recently gave birth to a son Benjamin Joseph Reyes, who measured in at 10 lbs., 8 oz and 22 in. long with a full head of hair! Karen Orgler married Steven Ochs in June of 2006. Their second anniversary is right around the corner! They’re going to Seoul, South Korea, (“Thank you HOOD + BIP for introducing me to this great place and the people.”) again to celebrate it! Alison Rohrer is moving this summer to Baton Rouge to work as an analyst on the housing recovery project for Hurricane Katrina victims. After this summer, she will be returning to the East Coast to ﬁnish one ﬁnal year toward completing her J.D. from the Pennsylvania State Univ. Jenna Starr is engaged to be married Oct. 12, 2008, and is planning a move to New Market, Md. Jenna’s new address is 5604 Morning Gate Court, New Market, MD 21774. Jenna has been working at Brunswick Middle School as a 7th grade special education case manager. Amy Vaughan, a special education teacher for Harford County Public Schools, recently began graduate level coursework at Loyola College.
