Outdoor Kids Club NovDec - (Page 15) Learn more about R.J. in his interview with the Outdoor Kids Club (OKC): OKC: What age did you start hunting and what was the first thing you hunted? RJ: I went into the woods with my mom & dad at 3 and then at 5 I hunted hogs down at Hoppy’s in Florida and I shot my first wild hog with my TenPoint crossbow, I was excited and my heart was pounding like crazy. OKC: What guns, bow, crossbow do you use? RJ: I am shooting my Red Ryder BB gun all the time, I also shoot my Thompson Center 20 gauge and 22, I shoot my Hoyt Ttrykon Jr and a Pro Slider Ten Point crossbow. OKC: What is your favorite game to hunt and why? RJ: I really like hog hunting cause it’s warm and there is a lot of things to do down at Hoppy’s. I am going deer hunting this fall down at Hoppy’s and I hope to shoot my first deer. OKC: What is your favorite hunting memory? RJ: I remember my first hunt and my heart was pounding faster than the hogs and Mom & Dad were right there with me, it was fun and we all were happy! I went out with Mom & Dad and it was cold, they had me in all types of hunting clothes, I could hardly walk in the snow, after a little bit I had to pee, so Mom helped me from the ladder stand and when I did we spooked the deer coming to us. It was fun and cold, but after that I fell asleep and we didn’t shoot any deer that day. OKC: If you could hunt anything, anywhere, what and where would it be and why?
