That is why providing high-quality educational programming and networking opportunities of our member is essential to us. Thousands of members participate in our educational programs in which members can learn experts, share ideas, improve their programs, meet new colleagues and find out the latest information on topics that affect their work today and tomorrow. In 2008, AAHSA: E l Produced three high-quality national conferences—featuring more than 250 educational offerings—where more than 10,000 individuals gathered to learn from experts and one another. l Held 14 audio conferences on timely topics, providing a costeffective way for members to learn and extending AAHSA’s educational offerings beyond traditional programs. These programs help AAHSA reach an additional 50 percent of members who aren’t able to attend our traditional conferences. l Graduated 31 emerging leaders in aging services from the Leadership AAHSA class of 2008 and created an alumni network to help past fellow continue to network and learn from each other. l Refined the Women in Leadership task force to enhance AAHSA’s educational offerings on gender-specific leadership and create more networking opportunities for women leaders. l Expanded member networks to help members ask questions, share their knowledge and connect with peers more efficiently and effectively. l Launched a new aahsa.org with expanded resources and consumer information to help members find solutions and reach potential residents and clients. | t
