Metalcraft Introduces Destructible Option for RFID Windshield Tag
Metalcraft announced availability of a destructible version of their RFID Windshield Tag designed to deliver long read range at lower cost for customers automating vehicle tracking and access control. The Destructible RFID Windshield Tag is engineered to be durable, but attempts to remove an applied Tag render it unusable. The destructible version is available at the same price as Metalcraft’s standard RFID Windshield Tag. Metalcraft’s standard RFID Windshield Tag is a 4-inch by 1-inch adhesive label that can be placed on the interior or exterior of automobile glass. The label provides a read range over 18 feet using a passive KSW Microtec Windshield RFID inlay and does not require a foam standoff like other windshield tag designs. The destructible version adds slits along the perimeter of the label which destroy the inlay if someone tries to remove it from a windshield. Orders are shipped within 15 days of proof approval. Prices vary by quantity; a complete price list is available at http://www.idplate.com or by request at 800.437.5283.
