The five required topics must be comprehensively taught (one hour each) as part of the 10-hour construction outreach course. The trainer is expected to utilize the remaining 5 hours of class time by teaching other construction standards and/or by expanding upon the coverage of the required topics. Any OSHA standard that applies to the construction industry may be taught to meets the need of the audience. SESSION BREAKOUT: ï Introduction to OSHA, OSH Act/General Duty Clause General Safety and Health Provisions, Competent Person ï Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal ï Motor Vehicles, Mechanized Equipment, Construction Equipment ï Electrical, Scaffolding, Stairways and Ladder, Fall protection ONE DAY: $125 AGC-CA MEMBERS $255 Non-members NO PRE-REQUISITES FOR THIS CLASS. FEE INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS. Initial training for maintenance workers involved in general maintenance and asbestos material repair tasks. The course agenda includes: Federal and State regulations; proper asbestos-related work practices; respirator user, care, and fit testing; protective clothing; hands-on exercises; and proper decontamination procedures. This course fulfills training requirements for OSHA Class III work, for OSHA Competent Person for Classes III and IV, and AHERA O&M. TWO DAYS: $355 AGC-CA MEMBERS $425 Non-members NO PRE-REQUISITES FOR THIS CLASS. FEE INCLUDES ALL MATERIALS. This course provides the training required by OSHA for companies who only repair breaks in A/C Pipe. This training includes a session of hands-on experience that gives the students experience in constructing a mini-chamber, setting up a regulated area, and performing a pipe-cutting simulation.
