AGC Training Center - (Page 4) Instructors MICHAEL BACA Trainer JoshuaCasey Corporate Training Mike has spent over 20 years in both the private sector and military agencies educating individuals on various topics including Emergency Medical procedures, CPR, First Aid, AED, Bloodborne Pathogens and additional OSHA Safety topics. WILLIAM BECKER Senior Instructor Global Environmental Network, Inc. William C Becker has been active in the training profession for over 24 years in Safety, HazMat, and Heavy Equipment Training in the US Army Operations and Safety. He possess over 15 years as the Operations Trainer at the 1st Battalion 144th Field Artillery. Responsibilities included preparation/implementation of the Battalions Training, Injury & Illness Prevention, Hazardous Materials, and Inspections Safety Programs. Mr. Becker worked closely with Army Safety Officers as a Safety and Weapons, Heavy Equipment Trainer. He graduated from the Army Advance “Train the Trainer” Program and taught Heavy Equipment, Weapons, IED to 1500 deploying soldiers. He also specialized in teaching Heavy Vehicle, Wheeled and Track, Confined Space Entry and NBC Respiratory Protection. Mr. Becker was deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Sr. Leader for 65 Soldiers. Mr. Becker was fully responsible for developing, implementing and executing all new safety courses for the operation. These classes included Fall Protection, Scaffolding Competent Person and User, Hazard Communication, Lockout/ Tag out, Hearing Protection, Welding & Cutting, Compressed Gas, and Confined Space Entry. BO BRADLEY Safety & Health Director Associated General Contractors of California Bo Bradley has been in the construction industry as a safety professional for over 18 years. She is currently the Director of Safety, Health & Regulatory Services with the AGC of California. Bo has worked with Operating Engineers and two General Contractors that were small when she started and grew to medium-large during her time there. She has a close, working relationship with CAL/OSHA Directors, Division Staff and Consultation. Bo is also a Certified Dream Coach and she uses her coaching skills to coach and mentor her fellow safety professionals in creating our common dream of an effective safety culture in the construction industry. PHYLLIS BARBOUR Trainer/Consultant Alliance Solutions Group Phyllis started working with CPM and DOS based business software in the early 1980’s as a bookkeeper for a software and hardware reseller. In 1985 she formed her consulting business to install, train and perform technical support to clients in the manufacturing, distribution and construction industries. In the mid 1990’s she became a Certified Consultant for the Timberline Software to specialize in implementing and training on windows based construction software. In 2001 she became a Certified Consultant on Sage Masterbuilder Software. She has helped hundreds of small to mid-size businesses to utilize software as a tool for improving profitability. JOHN BROWN Lead & Asbestos, Director of Training Global Environmental Network, Inc. Mr. Brown has been actively involved in various hazardous materials and safety training over the last 38 years, coordinating and directing regional and national environmental programs since 1966. He is currently a State of California Accredited Instructor for Lead and Asbestos training as well as performing training for many other hazardous material and safety related disciplines. John has developed numerous lead & asbestos training courses and manuals, gaining approval through the State of CA. He has had extensive experience in both the private and the public sectors in hazardous materials and safety training. John is currently working with the American Red Cross and the OSHA Training Institute, and is retired military, with over 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy. Mr. Brown is certified in explosive geophysical operations, and has instructed in Korea, South America, and Africa. John is also a certified OSHA Construction Outreach Trainer, and a Certified Instructor with the American Red Cross. STEVE BLOIS After obtaining his bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering form Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in 1973, Steve Blois joined the family business, Blois Construction, Inc. He gained experience in various aspects of the business by working in several positions before being named president and general manager in 1984. From 1997 to 2003 he served as co-president of the company and was named the director in 2006.
