BURLESON President Burleson Construction Company Tom Burleson is President of Burleson Construction Company, a third-generation, 60-year old firm in Johnson City, Tennessee. An AGC activist, Tom is past Chairman of the Construction Education Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America. He is also a Life Director of AGC of America, a past President of AGC of Tennes-see, and a member of the Consulting Constructors Council and the AGC of America Education and Research Foundation. Tom recently retired from the U.S. Army Reserve Corps of Engineers with the rank of colonel and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Desert Storm. Tom earned a B.S. degree in Building Science from Clemson University and received Certified Professional Constructor (C.P.C) status from the Constructor Certification Commission. ANDREA CHAPMAN Trainer/Consultant Alliance Solutions Group Andrea is a senior level consultant who embracing technology and helps her clients integrate Sage Master Builder and thirdparty software solutions to streamline and centralized their construction business systems. She has 10 years experience as a business management and process integration consultant and 15 years experience in construction business management, estimating, scheduling, project management, and accounting. As an owner and operator of a successful construction business for 13 years, she was as an “early adopter” of business software and computer technology. Her extensive experience using technology to solve client problems gives her the background and skills to guide her clients from concept to tangible results. CHARLES W. COOK, PH.D. President R. S. Cook and Associates, Inc. Tracing family history in construction over two and a half centuries, Charles W. Cook has successfully combined a career furthering the family construction business with an avocation in communications, media, and teaching. Charlie is president of R. S. Cook and Associates, Inc., in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Their primary work has been commercial and industrial renovations and additions. An active member of the Construction Education Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America, Charlie is currently serving as chairman of the continuing Education Subcommittee. He has presented leadership, time management, communication, team building and motivation seminars for several corporations and AGC chapters and served as a media consultant for Philadelphia area political campaigns. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Cornell University, his Masters from Temple, and his Ph.D. from New York University. ROBERT BURHANS Project Superintendent McCarthy Building Companies, INC. Robert has 27 years of experience in the construction industry with a combination of formal education and field and technical skills experience. Robert started his construction career in the Seattle area working on buildings like the Seahawk's training center and the University of Washington Health Science Building. He worked his way up from interior finishes foreman to superintendent. In Southern California, Robert has been working on a variety of projects, maintaining his expertise with high rises in San Diego, and working as Project Superintendent for major healthcare projects for the St Joseph Healthcare System. RUSS CLARK, CPA Consultant/Trainer Alliance Solutions Group Russ is an ex Marine and now a CPA that has spent his career working in the construction and technology industries. Russ was a long time Timberline Software employee where he managed a large consulting practice. He transitioned to private practice where he now manages a large group of consultants that focus their time on Real Estate and construction. Russ specializes in Sage Timberline Office and has expensive experience with Accounting, Project Management, Service Management and Document Management. SONYA COPPOLECCHIA Certified Instructor JoshuaCasey Corporate Training Sonya has several years of experience within the education industry teaching individuals on various topics including: Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Bloodborne Pathogens and OSHA Safety. Prior to her work in emergency services, Sonya worked in retail fashion specializing in sales, marketing and merchandising. The fashion industry helped strengthen her deep affection for working with the public.
