Over the last 15 years Jim has worked with several large international firms in roles as Controller and Vice President of Finance, Treasury and IT. The firms were in manufacturing, Real Estate Development and Home Building . Jim has worked with Sage Timberline Office since 2001 and now focuses his time on consulting and training for companies that use Sage Timberline Office. He focuses on all of the financial applications as well as Project Management, Document Management and Service Management. MARK LYONS Director, Business Development Procore Technologies Mark’s focus is on using technology to improve construction project management. Mark’s expertise in using Microsoft Project for effective project scheduling has made him Procore’s leading advocate for project management best practices. Mark provides training seminars on construction management techniques and tools at venues throughout the US, including contractor associations, university construction management programs, and construction software user group meetings. DRAKE MUAT President / Director of Training Global Environmental Network, Inc. Drake Muat and his partner started Global Environmental Network, Inc. in 1992 as a health and safety training organization. He has grown the company into a multi million dollar company servicing hundreds of clients in the areas of private and public construction and State and Local Public Works. Mr. Muat gained his strong management skill during his employment in Newport Beach, CA as a Fire Captain where he completed his training under the California State Fire Marshal’s Office, Hazardous Materials Section, IC and ID. He established the Hazardous Materials Emergency Response Team for the City of Newport Beach, CA, and assisted in developing their Emergency Response Plan. In addition he has chaired the first committee to write the Emergency Response Plan for the County of Orange, CA. Prior to becoming the Captain of the Hazardous Materials team, Mr. Muat was a Paramedic Coordinator where he experienced hands-on medical emergencies and provided training in CPR and First Aid Instructor. BRUCE LOKESMOE, CPESC, SWPPP Trainer, OSHA 500 Instructor / Safety Specialist, Global Environmental Network, Inc. MARLA MAYNARD Trainer/Consultant Alliance Solutions Group With over 25 years of business management and consulting experience, Marla has extensive knowledge in developing business processes, as well as implementing and training on various financial and project management software. With an M.S. in Psychology, Marla has a unique insight into employee relations and Human Resource Management. Having been a Small Business Administration Loan Officer, she is familiar with the intricacies of construction financing. Additionally, she worked as the Project Coordinator for a major union Electrical Contractor, giving her an overall perspective of both union and government complexities in contracting. Having taught as an adjunct professor at California Baptist University, she is able to clearly disseminate information and develop materials to supplement the training process. She has extensive experience with several accounting programs including Sage Master Builder, Quick Books, & Peachtree. Bruce is actively involved as a EH&S Safety Specialist/Instructor for Federal and State of California EPA, DOT and OSHA related courses. He holds his OSHA 30 and 500 certificate. OSHA 30-hour certified. Bruce is recognized as a leading instructor in the areas of NPDES Stormwater Program and Occupational Health & Safety topics by the Associated General Contractors of California (AGC); the Los Angeles/Orange County Chapter of the Maintenance Superintendents Association (MSA); the American Public Works Association (APWA); and the Public Agency Safety Managers Association (PASMA). Currently involved in developing Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs) for commercial and residential developers who must meet increasingly stringent restrictions regarding impacts to the hydrology of an area caused by their projects. Developing several practical application courses for developers, contractors, and municipal personnel who are required to implement, inspect, and maintain the programs and practices required under the current State Water Board regulations. Rick is a Certified NUCA instructor for competent person training in trenching and excavations, as well as a Certified NUCA instructor for permit required confined space entry. He achieved NUCA Master Instructor status in 1997. Rick also completed Speed Shore’s Train the Trainer program for competent person in trenching and excavations. He starting teaching for Trench Shoring Co. in 1999, and trained more than 6,000 people. With 27+ years experience in the oil and gas industry, he has primarily focused on safety, pipeline construction and maintenance, facility construction and maintenance, and facility operations.
