We sincerely thank the above mentioned companies for their support of a great event. The afternoon concluded in the clubhouse with frosty beverages and an awards presentation dedicated to the winners of the tournament. John Sotiroff picked up the prize for the longest drive, Jeff Hughart impressed by winning longest putt and Tom Brewer earned closest to the pin bragging rights. Foursome Dwight Allenbaugh, Tom Brewer, Darrell Domokos and Mike Mehno took top honors for the first place finish. Second place was awarded to Charles Donaldson, Ralph Hunsinger, Dave Schroder and John Sotiroff. Wrapping up in third place was foursome Bill Breault, his son Tyler Breault, Gary Camp and Francois Villeneuve. Congratulations on a round well played. The day didn’t finish with golf, however. After players packed up their clubs and boarded the shuttle, they made their way back to downtown Denver to enjoy an evening at Coors Field, where two adjoining SIA corporate suites afforded them the opportunity to enjoy a night out watching the Colorado Rockies take on the L.A. Dodgers. The winning foursome will be challenged to defend their title when the SIA heads to Orlando, FL for the 2009 Committee Week, Feb. 14-17. Willing challengers are encouraged to join us as we make way to the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort and its own golf course. We’ll see you in Orlando! For those who played in the recent 2008 SIA Golf Invitational, it was a well-balanced meal. On July 21, players headed over to the Arrowhead Golf Club, a course Golf Digest ranked as one of America’s “Top 75 Public Courses.” Voted as the #1 public course in Denver, Arrowhead was pleased to host nearly 50 of SIA’s most enthusiastic golfers. Players began their day with a scenic trip through the picturesque Colorado Rockies to the stunning course in Littleton, CO. After a relaxing lunch, there was time spent warming up on www.scaffold.org the driving range. The team gathered together for a breathtaking group photo, and a shotgun start followed at 1 p.m. The foursomes participated in competitions including longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin and first, second, and third place. A photographer was on hand to take pictures as the teams navigated through the 18hole, 70-par course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The 2008 SIA Golf Invitational would not have been successful without contributions made by the many generous tournament sponsors. Benefactors included East Coast Rigging & Contracting, M & I Bank, Non-Stop Scaf- 29 http://www.scaffold.org
