Not only did Laulis steer the Cable One family of companies through a
global pandemic, but she found ways to increase the operator's reach
through multiple acquisitions. Cable One acquired ValuNet Fiber, a share
in Vyve Broadband owner Mega Broadband Investments Holdings and
the rest of Hargray Communications that it didn't already own. You can
bet that as Cable One welcomes aboard employees from its shopping
spree, Laulis and her team will make sure all 2700+ associates feel
welcomed. That same holds true for Cable One's more than 950,000
customers, some of which recently saw the rebranding of NewWave
to Sparklight. Under Laulis' guidance, the operator has made numerous
investments in the communities it serves, including $300,000 to
Meals on Wheels and local food banks. In early 2021, the company
announced the launch of its Charitable Giving Fund, which will annually
award $200,000 in grants to nonprofits across its footprint.

must be objectively measured and worked on in order to help ensure
an environment of inclusion as a solid foundation for diversity goals.
Working on one without building the other is like trying to plant flowers
in cement instead of soil.
