Comporium may be well over 100 years old,
but you can still teach it a new trick or two.
Dosch launched an IP-based video service called Stream TV last May,
and he plans to migrate all of the company's video customers to the
new platform within the next two years. Dosch has continued to grow
Comporium's footprint in the Carolinas while increasing speeds and
access to its Zipstream Gigabit service.
HOW DOES THE COUNTRY NARROW THE DIGITAL
DIVIDE? The pandemic forced government at all levels-local, state,
and federal-to very quickly become pragmatic about providing funds
that could immediately be spent on extending the broadband network
to underserved areas. I am hopeful that this real-world experience
will translate into future public policy discussions around broadband
infrastructure.
WHAT SORT OF BROADBAND WILL THE AVERAGE U.S.
HOUSEHOLD NEED IN FIVE YEARS? The average household
will need 2 to 10 gigs, provided over a wired connection.
MY COMFORT TV BINGE? I am currently watching " 1971 " on
Apple TV+. It is a fascinating look at the powerful convergence of music
and social issues during that single year.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS
SUMMER? Visiting family in other parts of the country that I haven't
seen outside of a Zoom call in 18 months. ■

data used during the pandemic and
translating it into powerful insights for
OpenVault's partners. He is a critical

adviser to operators as they examine how to add upstream capacity,
when they should do so and what to expect when the world returns
to some semblance of normalcy. Trudeau's work is appreciated by
operators around the world. OpenVault has expanded deals with
existing partners, such as Vyve Broadband, while also striking longterm
agreements with the likes of Tele Columbus AG.

opportunity to meet Mark a couple of times and as a fellow entrepreneur
I really respect his accomplishments.

MY COMFORT TV BINGE? I wouldn't say comfort binges, but
I've enjoyed those that are a bit more edgy: " Power, " " Startup " &
" Kingdom " were all great!
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS
SUMMER? Both domestic and global travel to enjoy friends and
colleagues. ■
