While managing various aspects of
Nat Geo productions, Greenfield is dedicated to working through
an inclusive lens, making sure internally her colleagues' expectations
are met and that Nat Geo encompasses the voices of its
global audiences. To that end, Greenfield has helped to establish
a set of inclusion standards that have been implemented across
all Nat Geo-owned and produced content to ensure diverse
representation. " Since attracting and keeping a loyal multicultural
and multi-generational consumer base is essential to any
company's success, multicultural executives are now in high
demand. Understanding unconscious biases and blind spots
are now common conversations in the workplace; understanding
cultural fluency and how it affects the content we develop
and produce are now top of mind; and inclusive marketing of
relevant content is now the top priority, " Greenfield says. " Now,
it is the responsibility of all to hold us accountable. "
Troy Griffin

Griffin is at the center of Comcast's
customer care operation. He's consistently
working to set the bar higher,
crafting a culture that focuses on exceeding rather than meeting
expectations. His strategies are proven to work, leading to
increased success across all of the company's customer care
metrics. Griffin previously served as the executive champion
of the Black Employee Network for Comcast's Beltway Region,
and remained a member of the group when he was elevated to
his current role in 2019. He's known for his continuous efforts
to meet with other leadership and employees to gain feedback
on how Comcast can advance the conversation around diversity
and inclusion.

Since July 2020, Hair made BNC a
rapidly-growing news network that
continues to expand. Over the next
several months, BNC will introduce a DTC offering, launch a
redesigned website and work to increase distribution internationally.
Hair leads a network that helps all viewers better understand
and respect each other through its stories and coverage. BNC
places boots on the ground in Black and Brown communities and

gives a platform for African-American thought leaders to explore
the context, histories and truths that are affecting the constantlyshifting
landscape. " I think that the volume of conversations
surrounding DEI has grown louder over the last year and it feels
like the sense of urgency has elevated, both of which signal
positive steps forward, " Hair says. " As far as significant progress
is concerned, the data will dictate whether or not that has been
accomplished. I am hopeful. "

News Standards & Practices

Having merged formerly autonomous
local news stations under the
Spectrum News banner, Han now leads an executive advisory
committee dedicated to streamlining Spectrum News' practices
while maintaining rigorous standards of fairness, integrity,
ethics, and fact-based storytelling across its linear and digital
platforms. It's all part of building the industry's most robust
news standards program, which includes independent thirdparty
content review. She says diversity and inclusion are core
parts of those standards. " In our industry, we have an obligation
to our audience to report on their communities fairly and objectively.
That's not possible without a workforce that reflects those
communities. You need a diversity of voices and backgrounds to
deepen storytelling, and more importantly guard against bias, "
says Han, who also leads the Spectrum Network Diversity and
Inclusion Task Force and developed Spectrum Networks' first
mentoring program that is focused on news standards.
Kimberley Harris

Comcast Corporation

NBCUniversal
Is there anything Harris can't do? She
oversees all international government and regulatory affairs for
Comcast Corporation while also leading the legal function across
all NBCUniversal divisions. She's a strong believer in the benefits
of having more women in positions of leadership, and serves
as the executive champion of the Women's Network employee
resource group. Harris often meets with the hub leaders of each
chapter, gathering their feedback and offering guidance based
on her experiences and the needs of the group. Outside her day
job, she serves on the boards of Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.,
Advocates for Children of New York and the Brennan Center for
Justice at New York University School of Law.
