women in leadership roles, " says Kriley,
who notes she feels lucky to have strong
male allyship both at Magical Elves and in
past network roles. Together with co-CEO
Jo Sharon, Kriley during the last year led
the studio in producing 75-plus hours
of programming across nine shows and
selling four new series and counting. No
easy feat as the pandemic wreaked havoc
on production schedules. The Elves also
baked up eight Primetime Emmy nominations
for shows including " Top Chef, "
" Nailed It! " and " Top Chef: Last Chance
Kitchen. "

that has made HGTV a top-rated cable
network across multiple demographics.
Latman, who makes DEI a priority on and
off screen, advises people returning to
the workplace after a significant absence

because that's what matters, not that you
took some time away. "

Monroe raises the bar for Nat Geo content
each year. When production limitations
slowly lifted under COVID-safe protocols,
the company safely completed production
and premiered the much-anticipated
scripted anthology installment " Genius:
Aretha, " which received three Primetime
Emmy Award nominations. Among other
buzzy TV events are " Fauci, " about the
career and life of Dr. Anthony Fauci, which
debuted in October; " The Rescue, " about
the 2018 rescue of 12 young boys and
their soccer coach from a cave in northern
Thailand; and " Welcome to Earth, " narrated
by Will Smith. When it comes to
re-entering the workforce, " Make no
apologies; recognize the added value that
so often comes from stepping away, taking
on new experiences and developing
new perspectives, " Monroe says.

the new Magnolia Network, the former
HGTV exec has overseen operations up to
and beyond the new network's July 2021
launch via discovery+, where it generated
more than 2 billion media impressions
in 48 hours. Page will also take the lead
in rebranding DIY Network as Magnolia
ahead of its linear launch in early 2022.
The advice she offers people re-entering
the workforce is something she likely applied
to launching the network: " Do your
homework, embrace change and look for
the opportunities created in this evolving
landscape. "

On the heels of last
year's massively
successful " OWN Your Vote " campaign,
Perry helped launch " OWN Your Health, "
which seeks to provide Black women
with tools and resources to improve
health outcomes. It's the latest example
of Perry's focus on corporate responsibility
as president of the network. OWN
consistently has series that rank among
the top 10 for Black women 25-54, and
Perry's always on the hunt for content
that will resonate with the net's audience.
She's forged relationships with producers
such as Will Packer and Carlos King, and
the net has added gospel music specials
and holiday movies. Perry recommends
reading journalist Joann Lublin's " Earning
It: Hard-Won Lessons from Trailblazing
Women at the Top of the Business
World. " " A common denominator in all of
these women's inspiring stories is that a
woman's path in corporate America is one
often fraught with uncertainty from myriad
perspectives, " she says.
