Boyers is a champion of the underrepresented, extending Boycom's service into some of the poorest counties in southeast Missouri. Her hope for
2022 is that Boycom will be able to compete in state and federal subsidy programs and win funds to deploy service and fiber to even more rural
areas. She's balancing life at home in the Ozarks with challenges in Washington, using her voice to keep ACA Connects members informed about
NTIA's $42 billion BEAD program and fight to keep it from funding overbuilding in already-served areas.

Boredom Buster? Boredom was a word never uttered in my house! If I ever made the mistake of saying " I was bored, " my
folks would make me carry in firewood! I passed this " tradition " on to our son, and now on to our granddaughters! The word
bored will immediately get you a set of chores! Seriously, I am always busy, if not going about the business of Boycom &
ACAC; our cattle ranch or in my garden...I am asleep!!
How will inflation impact the media & broadband space? I believe that inflation will cause folks, who are just now venturing out
from under the pandemic, to retreat back to their homes and living rooms and computers. Still the best bang for your buck!
Favorite dish that I can also make myself: I have perfected my mother's chicken & dumplin's! Nothing beats a pot of dumplin's, fried okra from
my garden and a pan of fresh cornbread!
Has the telco rollout of 5G wireless in North America impacted my business? Not yet....
If my company had a mascot, it would be: Why, a Bulldog of course!
If I had a time machine, I would... go back about 20 years and ask my mother all the questions that I wish I had asked before she passed away
in 2012. ■

Bucket List: Continue the legacy of AMC by curating and establishing AMC+ as
one of the best destinations in the world for world-class content
New role? No problem for McDermott, who started his new position in 2021 and stepped up
responsibility for original programming and production across AMC's linear networks and
streaming services. His well-rounded and multifaceted skill set helped him take these new
responsibilities with ease. He was at the forefront of AMC greenlighting multiple new series
and franchises-including its much-anticipated new Anne Rice universe-and ensuring
50% of the company's writers hail from underrepresented groups. McDermott also handles
AMC's business affairs, acquisitions and scheduling, and consumer public relations.
What does the metaverse mean to you? We are at the dawn of Web3 and the
attending decentralization of the internet. This period will be filled with innovation,
entrepreneurialism and more, beyond imagination. The opportunities will be infinite and
extraordinary.
