What inspires you most about this industry?
What inspires me most is how this industry is constantly
changing and innovating, from the product to the network
to the customer experience, there is a constant focus to
reimagine and redefine the way we do business.
The biggest innovation in cable over the last
year? Our network continues to evolve, expand and grow
to deliver innovative products; Innovations like DOCSIS
3.1 and Remote PHY are helping us to deliver superior
products/speeds and scale at a faster pace to meet
customer demand!

MacKenzie is not only EVP and COO of Shentel, he's also
the face of the company. He attended and spoke at the
Citi Small & Mid Cap Conference in New York last year,
presenting an overview of its operations and acquisition
of nTelos. More recently, he presented at the Raymond
James annual Institutional Investors Conference. A veteran
of the company since 2003, he's responsible for Shentel's
daily operations. Under Mackenzie's leadership, Shentel
earned a Q4 increase at the close of last year in wireless
postpaid customers. He is a member of the ACA board.

What inspires you most about this industry? The
small and medium size operators that take risks against
significant odds to bring great service to small towns and
rural communities all over America.
The best thing about fast broadband is... the way it
changes lives and brings the opportunity for all communities
to succeed in the 21st century.
How long is your morning commute? Seventeen
miles in 25 minutes with only three stop signs, unless I get
behind a school bus or a tractor.

In McLaughlin's first full year as SVP for Beltway, the
Region has significantly improved in virtually every dimension
of the business, including achieving stronger results
in growth and customer service. She has successfully
launched two new employee resource groups - a Black
Enterprise Network and a Young Professionals Network,
further instilling a culture of employee satisfaction and
high morale. McLaughlin leads multidisciplinary teams
of more than 5,000 employees focused on transforming
the customer experience and delivering Comcast's
best-in-class products to more than two million customers.
Through her involvement in WICT and the Beltway
Region's Women's Network, she is often a catalyst in the
careers of women rising into leadership positions.

What inspires you most about this industry? I'm
inspired by the constant innovation and creation of products
and services in this industry that have such a positive
impact on our customers' day to day lives.
What are the top three qualities you look for in a
hire? I always look for an ambitious, smart, team player.
What product or service could you not live without?
I could not live without Xfinity X1 - the voice control
remote, the downloadable DVR with the Xfinity Stream
app and the integration of Netflix and YouTube - need I
say more?

discussion. He's also encouraged sports program hosts to
increase their social media profiles.

Morrison created the MyTV Custom Bundles launched by
Cincinnati Bell a year ago, but his work is far from over.
He continues to be innovative in the product offerings the
company presents to its customers and is constantly looking
for solutions to problems where there may appear to
be none. In fact, Morrison himself takes customer calls as
to why consumers can't purchase channels a la carte. His
packaging initiatives are being watched closely by the programming
industry and other MSOs to see how successful
they are and how can they be implemented by others.
