Through the development of DishWorld and
the introduction of Sling TV, Lynch is helping to
redraw the pay TV map, tapping into new markets
to serve cord cutters and cord nevers. Since its
launch, Sling TV's " Best of Live TV " offering has
grown from 12 of the top pay TV channels to more
than 20 for $20 per month, giving some hefty programming
weight to the skinny bundle. Look for
additional content offerings, and additions to the
Sling device portfolio this year. In April, Sling added
a multi-stream offering featuring Fox Networks.

The biggest innovation in cable over the last
year: The attention paid to diversity in primetime
television. Shows like " The Nightly Show, "
" Master of None, " " People vs. OJ " , " Blackish, "
" Key and Peele, " " Scandal, " " Empire, " " Jane
the Virgin " and many others have shown that
diversity in TV is not only the right thing to
do, it's good business. Now let's hope we see
more diversity when it comes to the moderaWhat
does the future look like for skinny

question, consumers want skinny bundles and
flexible packaging options. This will be provided
by either incumbent pay-TV operators, or new
entrants leveraging emerging technologies.
My first job: My first job was a paper route at
ten years old. The most difficult part of the job
was having to go house to house collecting
money. From a very young age I learned every
excuse in the book for why people couldn't
pay!
I watch the majority of programming on
this device: Roku. It was the first device we
launched Sling TV on, and it has been my go-to
device ever since.
My favorite newfound hobby: Running. I have
always been pretty active, but some of the
young Slingers at work recently challenged me
to run a half marathon. I have since had to up
my game to get ready. ■

year: Producing live sports events remotely. We
did it this year for the MLS season, and it will
definitely change the way networks produce
live events.

love snow skiing with family & friends.
Best way to spend a Saturday night: There
are many, but one of them is watching soccer
obviously!
The technology that will most benefit cable
over the next year is: The convergence
between OTT and TVE services. The key
is to deliver to audiences the content they
want whenever and wherever they are and
Networks, Distributors and OTT providers are
working together to do so. ■
