planning for commercial
and residential digital
phone service, including
two recent coups: First,
she managed a certification
project to ensure service
readiness for 7 million
homes and businesses.
Second, Fiala oversaw the
transition of 850,000 subs
from one network provider
to another, resulting in
an annual savings of $55
million.
Susan Grant
EVP, CNN News Services,
Turner Broadcasting System
Turner's Grant is jazzed
when the cable industry
can use technology to
create new and meaningful
ways to ignite consumer
passions. She offers CNN
iReport, created and
developed at CNN and
Turner, as an example:
" The global, citizen journalism/UGC
platform is five
years old, and we have
iReporters in every country,
it has its own Android
app and is essential to all
of CNN's TV and digital
networks, " she says. Grant
adds that being part of a
new development " that
busts a conventional
business norm always
spurs more creativity and
collaboration. "
