BOYCOM Cablevision,
which consists of six
headends, in 1992. She has served as board director for
the American Cable Association and last April testified
before the U.S. Senate Committee on rural broadband
deployment to bring attention to BOYCOM's efficiency in
combining fiber and wireless. " I love being involved in the
decision-making process for our industry and representing
the rural areas of our country, " Boyers says.
Maria Brennan

For the third year in a row,
Brennan has helped WICT
set record membership
numbers, which now are
up to nearly 10,000. She
also led the organization
abroad, with its first event in the U.K., and relaunched
WICT's Senior Executive Summit for high-level women
in cable. On success in the workplace, she envisions
equity: " Not added access, simply equal access. "

Brennan knows the
business on both sides of
the distribution chain. A sought-after informal advisor for
companies looking to get into the video space, she leads

business models. Meanwhile, she was recently
approached by platform vendors, second screen app
developers and others offering ancillary services to help
navigate relationships within News Corp. and on product
design and development. Her best trick for maintaining
the work-life balance? " Gratitude. "

She has worked on nearly all recently closed major
sports deals for Fox, including the Big East Conference
basketball contract, the UFC/Fox deal, and the NFL
extension. Believe it or not, she would want to swap jobs
with Chuck Todd, NBC White House correspondent for a
month. Why? " I'm a political/news junkie, " she says.

and management of
business operations for the
California region with 2.2 million cable subscribers and
annual revenues exceeding $3 billion. During her career,
Bryant has participated in several leadership programs

Executive Development Program, Comcast's West Division
PEAK Leadership Program and Comcast's Executive
Leadership Program.
Vera Buzanello

As a result of Buzanello's
efforts to expand Discovery
HD channels to Latin
America, all of Discovery Networks' HD nets are now
in 21-plus countries and territories throughout Latin
America and the Caribbean. Recognition for professional
accomplishments is one measure of success, but
Buzanello says, " Equally important to knowing you are

Lawyers in America in the area of communication law.

Chesloff oversees the
recently rebranded Up
Network's most ambitious
original programming
slate in its eight-year
history. She also helped launch and program Magic
Johnson's Aspire Network. The 30-year TV industry
vet started as an accounting major at the University of
Miami until her college roommate, Susan Brooks, currently
general counsel and EVP of business affairs for
Fishbowl Media, said she was too outgoing to be an
accountant. The next thing she knew, she was interning
at WTVJ in Miami. How does she define workplace
success? " When you have the luxury of going to work
each day and it doesn't feel like work, " she says.
