the proposed Bright House purchase
by Charter has kept the house of
Bergman in the headlines since this
summer. One of the most respected
execs in the industry, Nomi Bergman
continues to steer a strong and enterprising ship, focusing on
technology innovations, customer service and loyalty programs
for the sixth largest cable operator. Whatever the future of the
company, it will no doubt be bright. For women in particular,
" the opportunities are signifi cant for our industry as it relates to
hiring, promoting and retaining women in tech, " Bergman says.
8. Kristin Dolan

Cablevision Systems
Whatever the future of the company,
Dolan's fi ngerprints are all
over Cablevision's transition from
a traditional cable provider to a
premier connectivity company. She's
overseen the launch of new products
and initiatives to meet the evolving needs of consumers, and
is a frequent speaker at many industry conferences, recently
the 2015 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. When Dolan
needs to unwind she looks no further than her own supportive
clan. For women in cable, " I see tremendous opportunities
in two areas-service and technology, " she says.

NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment
One of the busiest execs in cable,
Berwick oversees the daily operations
for NBCU nets Bravo, Oxygen,
E! and Esquire. In 2015, she
unveiled a diversifi ed slate of new
programming, including 10 new and
four returning series. " Cable has always been fairly genderagnostic
relative to other industries and even other parts of
the entertainment business, and many of us have had the
benefi t of strong, smart female leaders and role models "
Berwick says. " However, we're still under-represented in
certain areas. "
11. Jennifer Gaiski
SVP, Content Acquisition
Comcast Cable
On any typical day, Gaiski oversees
Comcast's multibillion-dollar content
acquisition budget, negotiates and
administers programming contracts,
coordinates fi eld operations and
communications for the company's
three operating divisions. She's known as a negotiator who
is tough but fair, and as a relationship builder. Gaiski believes
strongly in the power of mentoring and dedicates her free
time to the furthering of young professionals both inside and
outside of Comcast. " Being truthful, but kind, " she says is
the most important aspect of mentoring.
12. Marjorie Kaplan
President, Content
Discovery Networks International
Tapped for her new post in August
on the merits of her keen eye for
developing breakthrough content,
Kaplan now resides in London and
presides over strategy, coordination
and execution of all international
content and brand strategies across the Discovery portfolio
and across platforms. She's a mentor for the Women In Entertainment
Mentorship Program, and has played a signifi -
cant role in the organization's growth. Though busier than
ever, Kaplan says she relies on her favorite trick for unwinding:
" A morning run-outside, rain or shine-and I guess that
will mean more rain in my new job. "

In her fi ve years at the company,
Yaccarino has transformed NBCU's
advertising sales organization. Her
groundbreaking " one portfolio " plan
has amplifi ed the enormous power
and reach of the company's broadcast, cable and digital
assets. As a result, under Yaccarino's leadership, NBCU
was the only media company to record growth in volume
and dollar value during the 2015 Upfront. Earlier this year,
she announced the company's audience targeting platform,
NBCUx-a programmatic platform-and " NBCU+ Powered
by Comcast, " which empowers clients to make better datadriven
decisions.
