centers on a princess character inspired
by Latino cultures and folklore
for both Disney Channel and Disney
Junior, is among the latest examples
of Kanter's keen eye for developing
diverse, quality programming that keeps kids and their families
coming back for more-across the networks' distribution
platforms. When it comes to content for an older audience,
Kanter thinks Showtime's " Masters of Sex " exemplifies strong
female characters. " The lead female characters are flawed yet
all strong women standing up for themselves and their place
in the world at a time when that wasn't easy or expected, " she
says.

This past year, Faulkner focused on
positioning Cox's home security and
automation service as the fourth
product in the company's bundle
while continuing to add features and
develop advanced services. She also
heads up operational strategies for Cox Homelife, from sales
and marketing to customer experience, and is constantly
identifying ways to integrate it with adjacent platforms. Clues
to Faulkner's success can be found in the advice she would
give her 13-year-old self: " Take risks and don't worry about
failures-they will be your best learning ground, " she says.
" Also, don't be fearful of change. You'll learn so much from
the right and left turns you take in life-just trust your instinct. "

Hulu
Former Disney exec Paul works in
concert with Hulu's executive management
team to drive growth and efficiency-and
the company continues
to keep its foot on the accelerator this
year as it evolves its business model.
In the biggest headline, Hulu announced in August it will end
its free ad-supported service in favor of a subscription model
that will give it better positioning as it competes with Netflix
and Amazon Prime. The move came just after Time Warner
took a 10 percent stake in Hulu, and also reflects the service's
push to more exclusive content-a priority for Paul. During her
nearly three-year tenure, Hulu more than doubled in subscribers
and revenues and continues to invest in new service offerings-like
the new digital bundle of sports and entertainment
channels streamed linearly and on demand. Expect more
innovation in the year ahead.

BBC.com. She also leads efforts to amplify BBC Worldwide's
global brands including " Top Gear and " Doctor Who, " and
natural history brand BBC Earth. A vocal proponent of elevating

anniversary, and there's no doubt
Commisso-Weinand's business
prowess is inextricably woven into
the company's success through the
years. A celebrated cable veteran
and member of the Broadcasting & Cable Hall of Fame, she
packs a powerful combination of institutional knowledge
and agility as she continues to help steer the fifth largest
cable operator through a changing landscape. This past
year she successfully negotiated renewals with key programmers
including Univision and Discovery, as she continues
to train her eye on evolving content models, including
skinny bundles.

Cable One
This past year Cable One completed
its spinoff from Graham Holding
as an independent, publicly traded
company-and Laulis couldn't be
more confident about the move.
" After years of explaining our shift in
this direction, we believe that our continued strong financial
results provide compelling evidence that our strategy
is sound, " she says. What's more, the company is close
to completing the rollout of 1 gig service across all service
areas, is ramping up its enterprise business products and
sales, and continues to improve operations efficiency, with
the attrition of more than 5 percent of headcount in the past
12 months.
