this year. Although she has negotiated deals with MVPDs that
have helped maximize TV One's distribution across mobile,
linear, and nonlinear platforms, Rice still believes the Internet
is the technology that will benefi t the industry the most in the
coming year, thanks to connected devices, appliances and
wearables. Asked which TV shows best embrace diversity,
Rice says " Grey's Anatomy, " " Scandal, " " How To Get Away
With Murder, " " American Crime Story " and " Modern Family "
are among series that " show fresh perspectives on human
relationships and the complexities of the human condition. "
64. Kevin Stephens

Altice USA
At the close of Altice Group's acquisition
of Suddenlink, Stephens segued to
his role with the new company. While
at Suddenlink he has provided business
customers with data, voice, video,
cloud-based services, data analytics and targeted advertising-
and under his leadership the MSO enjoyed another strong year
of growth. Part of his philosophy entails empowering employees
and creating high levels of accountability. Passionate about
mentoring, he has been involved in the L. Patrick Mellon Mentorship
Program for more than fi ve years and provides guidance to
younger professionals as the vice chair of the Board of Directors
at NAMIC. The technology that will have greatest positive impact
on cable in the next year? " The continued extension of DOCSIS
(Data) speeds will be impactful in providing signifi cant value for
customers and creating a sustainable competitive advantage. "
65. Susan Jin Davis

With more than two decades of
communications experience, Jin
Davis is focused on implementing

through regulatory and legal requirements, cost reduction
and managing business compliance in partnership
with other departments. She serves on Comcast's internal
Diversity Council and acts as a liaison to the Comcast and
NBCU Joint Diversity Council. She's also an executive sponsor
of Asian Pacifi c Americans at Comcast. Jin Davis is very
active with professional associations such as WICT, having
been a fellow in its Betsy Magness Leadership Institute.
Both CTAM and NAMIC have awarded her with leadership
accolades, with the latter doling out a Luminary Award.
Outside of Comcast, she supports the Asian American community
by serving on several boards.
66. Mike Roggero
COO & CFO, Fuse Media
Roggero's efforts in Fuse's relaunch
and the launch of the FM music
network helped turn Fuse into the
largest independent multicultural
and largest Hispanic-targeted cable
network. Digital initiatives such as
expanded content, a mobile app, and a podcast network
made Fuse.tv a digital pop culture destination that continues
to grow. " As viewing habits-particularly among multicultural
and millennial audiences-continue to move towards mobile,
the ability for networks to offer their programming over-thetop
is essential, " Roggero says. " This will likely include OTT
with a mix of authentication using cable subscription logins,
along with programming created exclusively with digital
viewers in mind. " How does this benefi t cable? " The reality is
that if viewers aren't offered options that are in line with their
consumption preferences, there's a growing chance that they
won't be subscribers for long. "
67. Sofia Chang
EVP, Worldwide Digital
Distribution & Home
Entertainment, HBO
With her hands in both the cable and
home entertainment sides of the
business, Chang understands how,
when and where today's viewers
want to access content. She was also recently tasked with
overseeing digital distribution, including HBO Now, across
multiple platforms. She takes a holistic view of diversity in
the workplace. " In managing a global team, I believe diversity
is more than people of different races, ethnicities, genders.
The worldwide digital distribution and home entertainment
team is made up of individuals whose experiences vary
across industries, who approach problems differently, and
whose skills balance one another. I am proud that I have
a team of direct reports who do not refl ect me but rather
complement me. "
