industry's strategic business models,
and with his strong background in
data Kim is driving digital strategy and operations at Turner as
the company evolves its business across all areas from content

36. Connie Orlando

Programming & Production
BET Networks
Recently named interim head of
programming for BET, Orlando has

news at the company's networks, including
tent pole events The BET Awards, The Soul Train Awards
and The Hip Hop Awards. Moreover, she introduced a new hit
awards show to BET-the annual Black Girls Rock Awards-
serving as executive producer. She's proud to have launched
the Connie Orlando Endowment for black women with television
industry majors at her alma mater, Syracuse University. Orlando
believes that " we are just starting to get to a place where we are
starting to see our diversity as a nation refl ected on the small
screen, " she says. " A lot of these stories are also being told
through our voices, which is even more gratifying. "
37. Ralph Martinez
SVP, Houston Region
Comcast Cable
This dynamic and engaging leader is
a key factor in why Houston earned
the highest customer service satisfaction
scores of any Comcast region
while also receiving high marks for
employee satisfaction. Martinez's dedicated workforce added
1,500 miles of network infrastructure to dozens of communities
in the greater Houston area, and his inclusive approach
is credited for the region's top fi nish in both Comcast's power
rankings and in revenue and cash fl ow growth. " The diversity
of a workforce, programming and suppliers, strengthens our
business and the relationship to both customers and each
other, " he says. " Diversity and inclusion enable us to develop
products that better serve millions of customers. "

38. Charlon McIntosh
Group VP, Customer Care
Charter Communications
McIntosh continues to make certain
that Charter is actively and consistently
supporting all efforts to simplify and
enhance the experience for customers.
She has an impressive career record
of building strong teams and collaborative working relationships,
driving productivity and operational excellence, and motivating
others to deliver superior performance results. In a NAMIC " Mentor
Minute, " she advised against " majoring in the minor, " which she
says is a fancy way of saying, " Don't sweat the small stuff. " " We
all know in the course of the day, we consistently, constantly get
drawn into activities that are not always in support of primary
priorities. At the end of the day, when you think about where you
spent the majority of your time and energy, make sure the majority
of that time and effort was in support of the priorities, " she said.
39. Susan Jin Davis
Chief Sustainability Officer
Comcast Corporation
As Comcast's chief sustainability offi cer

lessening corporate-wide impact on
the environment in the areas of energy,
emissions, natural resources, outreach

theme parks, improving fuel-effi ciency of fl eet vehicles and switching
to LED lighting at all facilities. She inspires and engages others
and hopes employees will volunteer 500,000 hours to environmental
goals by 2020. " I like to challenge mentees to think more
broadly about what they're capable of doing from a skills perspective
rather than limiting themselves to a particular job area, " she
says. " I ask them to look at how their talents are transferable to
other jobs because it's critical not to limit yourself. "
40. Enrique Martinez
President & Managing Director
Discovery Networks Latin
America/US Hispanic & Canada
Martinez oversees an empire of
11 networks that reach 369 million
cumulative subscribers in 47
countries and territories. Under his

The Wow Center, a training and activity center for persons
with developmental disabilities in Miami, and also serves as a
member of the Baptist Health System's international advisory
board. Fluent in three languages, Martinez strongly supports
the Discovery Internship program, which encourages staff to
mentor their peers.
